In a CW radar mode, range is calculated through frequency modulation. Its such an open fact that I dont need to give you a reference. Just search in google. Yes without frequency modulation, then you can't get range. I think you must do some research before posting.
Any time there is a pulse of any part of the transmission wave, the system is vulnerable to some extent to RGPO. Plus...The majority of FMCW system out there are of the multiple antennas type as one antenna is used for the transmission mode and the rest for receiver mode, making a FMCW system less mobile than the prevalent pulsed radar systems.

I don't need to google FMCW, you mentioned CW in your post if you meant FMCW you should have said so.

FMCW is commonly used for radar altimeters and proximity fuze on missile warheads it is NOT suited for long range detection. I continue to wonder why you bring it up in relation to countering Phalcon?

And yes why dont you suggest some counter to Phalcon?

HPM an EMP weapon from Phantom Works should easily bring down the Phalcon. You can add it to Pakistan's "do more" demands list along with more F-16's, reapers and the nuclear deal :D

Its not so easy to lock on and shoot at any air craft packed with one of the best self protection systems out their. If it was so easy to shoot down a military air craft with SAM full range then all you need to have is SAMs and SAMs taking fighter jets rolls. but it is not so easy as been said. answer to your question is simply no.

For some reason, i guess a good SAM investment is much effective n efficient in dealing with the winged carriers. A good long range radar/missile umbrella is more effective than sending in the birds, always ON always searching always tracking, ready to fire. I always maintain that a missile warning is more disturbing to an attacking pilot than the presence of birds. SAM is just like a Khud Kush Jahaz, isnt it!!:pakistan:

Please come down to earth coz Pakistan does not have a star wars program. Directed Energy Weapons and EMP weapons, although in use by US and Russia, are not available to Pakistan.

I have already suggested a robust 'made in Pakistan' solution of banging Phalcon. May be that I write a hypothetical drama type scenario related to Phalcon.

As compared to PAF Saab, Phalcon is a big aircraft and building a HAS for it would be difficult. If its parked in the open, it can be targeted on its airfield using a simultaneous attack of ballistic and cruise missiles with cluster warheads.

But as (seemingly) you have a taste of EW, I think it can be fruitful to discuss more 'electronic' options. Its IFF. Even if you are detected by AWACS and they think that you are friendly, thats it. A significant SIGINT, HUMINT and R&D effort can reveal the functioning of IFF system of Phalcon. If PAF fighters use the same IFF set (surely with their own set switched off), they would be taken in as friendlies.

The same thing was done in First World War by painting the adversary's flag on one's tail. These days a painted flag would not do the job but mastering the IFF system may save your day. Now as usual, please tell me why this technique would not work?

 Friend or Foe.

Dear,

IFF signals are time based real-time coded cryptographic transmission which are near impossible to replicate unless you have intelligence into their complete encryption key set.

In modern warfare, its easy for IFF to mistake a friendly bird to be hostile because of lack sync between time-coding or encryption keys, but the vice versa is almost impossible.

Hope you understand.

Sapper
