What's new

How Could you NOT like Altaf Hussain?

the good side of MQM is often overlooked because of its terrorism in Karachi...

however, sitting in government, if Altaf cannot press its coalition partner to implement reforms on behalf of the people, then its nothing but hot air coming out of the mouth of a british national Altaf.

last time i remember MQM said we will leave coalition if PETROL prices increase!!! guess what they have increaserd 7 times since then & decreased 5 times and NO ULTIMATUM from MQM.

. .
So many people condemn. He asked Ulema to condemn Malala attack..... OR ELSE... he will expose them.

I think everyone condemned Malala's attack, what was the need to give that threat.

The Taliban shot her. Say something against them. Instead he goes after Ulema.

i dont like him any way- so i will not justify what i was trying to say any more- Jiyeee Mutahiddaaaaaa !!!! :chilli:-

.
Yeah we have ruined Altaf's image... Aise bay-tuki baatein Altaf ke moonh se hi mazay ki lagti hain, aap na kijiay... Forum Administration ka mulk ki haalat se kya taaluk.

These are all mine or my family's personal experiences in Karachi.

I know how many times you have been to Karachi.

This is a different behss and Altaf won't be 'exposing' these guys. When he says they should condemn Malala's attack does he mean any daari wala can come and condemn it?

Himmat hoti toh woh kehta ke MULLAH OMAR condemn karay warna Mullah Omar ko nahi choroonga.

Perhaps its because AH knows that Mullah Omer is the ultimate freedom fighters who knows right from wrong and does not go about ordering hits on kids! No wonder even the US Govt. does not consider Talibaan their enemy.

Again hes not doing ANYTHING about it. Himmat hai toh blasphemy laws ke khilaaf bolay, say they should be abolished, put up a resolution in NA. He's in the government after all.

What Altaf does is, is nothing different any other nautanki wala. He gives the viewers a good show.

Again, you have a very weird interpretation of things, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the Blasphemy law, it's the application that is flawed. AH is very liberal, too liberal for my taste and even I do not consider anything wrong with the blasphemy law.

Apart from all this, I remember our arguments face to face on MQM and I remember how I used to stump you or how many times you would agree with me. Yet here we are.......

As for this mamla with this girl, I personally think that this thing is being blown out of proportion, I actually agree with Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on this issue being too politicized for some hidden agendas. There are other, graver, issues at hand!

This is complete bullshit and devoid of any logic. You people act very educated and talk logical like the points you gave in your first post but as soon as someone asks about why Altaf doesn't come to Pakistan, you talk bullshit.
This is what you call a so called leader? Who is not even in country where he is doing politics and giving bhashans daily!?
And you may not have a problem with that because you know you cannot justify it but I do have a problem because I don't want some British outsider to do politics who has no business here.

Out biggest, most celebrated, most revered and most idolized politician was assassinated in the middle of the day amongst thousands of her supporters. Is that a good enough reason? That's on top of the reason that AH has never held any public office, nor wishes to ever hold one so what's the point of him coming back?

Unless you are challenging the patriotism of Overseas Pakistanis?

We had plenty of nautanki walas. Musharraf took pictures with models to show his modernism but did squat with actually making a change with legislation.

Benazir, the darling of the west actually started the Taliban campaign.

We need seculars, not shoday seculars.

There is nothing wrong with the basic legislation, as it existed under Musharraf. Why do you guys not consider that the country was running through her paces year after year under Musharraf's Government and faltered as soon as he left? It was the same legislation, the difference was implementation and even Musharraf could not implement it more then, say, 40%?

It's the application that is most important.

sitting IN LONDON for 22 years and holding UK nationality! and giving BIG SPEECHES is not BOLD. i think even zardari is better than Altaf atleast he lives in the country! durr baith kaar tou geedar bhi sher ho sakta hai!

anyhow more than 24 hours have passed what has the "breaking news" that MQM created happened? nothing just like the 100s of MQM ultimatums! such as leaving the government if petrol prices are changed etc etc!

.
Having been in the government for the past 15 years, MQM have done nothing, but spread terror. They will keep coming into power by blackmailing. Every month you hear Altaf Hussain saying they are coming out of coalition with PPP, while that is so, they kill people until the next day, so they would be granted back with higher power. They will continue doing this...

Merely saying that they have been in the Government for the past 15 years is true but immoral as MQM is restricted to Sindh and even more particularly to Karachi, Hyderabad and a few other places in Sindh. They have never held enough seats to be able to make a difference in the NA.

And I wonder why people so conveniently forget that it was PAC terrorists that were using armour piercing bullets, machine guns, RPG's and grenades against the LEA's and not MQM. It's literally because MQM is a soft target, blame even those murders on MQM!

My permanent address is in Pakistan and my family has voting rights there.

Just check out Karachi these days. They have collected Bakra tax. "We will provide you services" - and there's no option to say "No thank you".

What is the service? They will bring a truck to collect the skin, fat and intestines that are discarded in the Qurbani and sell it themselves to various industries that have a use for them.

Ghunda gardi ki hadd hai ke zabardasti aapse paisa letay hain iska.

The problem with you is that you don't care about hygiene and cleanliness of the city as long as your own house is clean. By you, I don't mean you per se, but you get my point. By the way how much as these guys charging you to clean up the mess that you create on the streets that are owned by Karachi and not you?

That wasn't a denial on what MQM really does (elections fraud, bhatta khori, threats, violence, spraying the odd opponent with bullets)...

Again, you have a very weird interpretation of things, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the Blasphemy law, it's the application that is flawed. AH is very liberal, too liberal for my taste and even I do not consider anything wrong with the blasphemy law.
Liberalism has nothing to do with what he does.

Liberalism: liberalism, political doctrine that takes protecting and enhancing the freedom of the individual to be the central problem of politics.

I believe in ABSOLUTE no excuses freedom. Altaf does not, in fact his is a nautanki of sorts, number kamanay ke liay liberal "keywords" blab kardoh.

For a liberal, a true one, any law that inhibits freedom of speech would be a problem. AH has presented no legislation. Jahan faida dikha udhar ko nikal gaye.

Apart from all this, I remember our arguments face to face on MQM and I remember how I used to stump you or how many times you would agree with me. Yet here we are.......
I remember it quite differently with someone finally resorting to "TOH? SAB HI TOH KARTE HAIN" (in reference to open election dhaandly) :D

As for this mamla with this girl, I personally think that this thing is being blown out of proportion, I actually agree with Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on this issue being too politicized for some hidden agendas. There are other, graver, issues at hand!
Seriously who cares about an idiot Maulana. As I said, Maulana Fazlullah is the issue no Maulana Fazl ur Rehman.

I expect zilch from the guy who says India ke aagay haath jorta hoon ke Muhajirs ko woh panaah de dein. It would be a cold day in hell before I ask for any such panaah and I'm sure 99% of all the Mohajirs feel the same way.

The problem with you is that you don't care about hygiene and cleanliness of the city as long as your own house is clean. By you, I don't mean you per se, but you get my point. I pay taxes to the state, the MQM is in government utilize the money from the taxes.

Main kyun TT pakray huay party ke larke ko parchi ke response main paisay pakra doon?

Where does this happen? Karachi hai ke koi fiefdom hai?

US government has placed bounty on Mullah Omars head first and secondly Mr they need some kind of funny excuse so they can run away from britian and this Altaf Bhai is nothing more than a Mass Murdered a person involved in getting extortion money and also behind street crimes and his main problem is not with the Islamic Law but with Islam itself paid USA tout

Whereas things were better, on the zor of danda, it does not mean it was a sustainable order. The extremist mindset is bred out of state sanctions bigotry. Pakistan by LAW is an apartheid state. By LAW we say "Oye tu Musalmaan nahi? Chal tu second class citizen hai", "Oye tu Ahmedi hai? By LAW tu apne aap ko Musalmaan nahi keh sakta"

Banda apne aapko Mickey Mouse keh le. Religious beliefs main state ki mudakhalat is not liberalism.

This is the government we have had for the past 60 years, but to note, at least for the Past 15 years AH and MQM have been a part of this hypocrisy.

There can be no absolute freedom in a Muslim society Islamic laws have to be implemented and enforced by government

There can be no absolute freedom in a Muslim society Islamic laws have to be implemented and enforced by government

Government is by the people, if the Muslim society votes 10 people to make a legislation and those 10 people make absolute freedom the legislation toh baaki sab baatein are overruled.

In the recent spat with Gilani the Supreme Court gave 6 options, if you remember, Option 6 was - go ask the people. If the people say don't write the letter, the Supreme Court chahay kuch kahay it would be overruled.

Ultimate authority for governments are the people.

I'm sorry but I refuse to accept political rhetorics like Altaf's a murderer. And more importantly Karachi DISAGREES with ya. Yes, there may be some issues within MQM, but whether or not Altaf's solely to be blamed for those is debatable. Karachi is a City of many countries' size with different ethnicities, different faiths, and different political affiliations. And with that big a city, you're bound to have problems. Now it is very convenient for some people, who don't even live in Sindh to begin with and have probably never been to Karachi, to hold MQM responsible for all the ills of this illiterate society. MQM has transformed Karachi to the city it is today. Again you'd have TO BE IN Karachi or at least must visit Karachi once in a while to appreciate the efforts MQM has put in Karachi's betterment.

They say why Altaf regrets the formation of Pakistan?
Well, different discussion for different thread, but let me assure ya, he's not alone, many people echo his sentiments. However, I do agree with those who suggest he should've been careful since he's not only an individual but represents The People of Karachi.

At the end of the day, do what ever you want or say what ever you can, MQM represents the people of Karachi. Just like your beloved Terrorist Khan consulted courts to gain nothing, I suggest you do too, should you believe MQM violates the fundamental rights of Pakistanis or Sindhis.

Sir Government can be by the people but in Islamic Societies Islam remains supreme and as long as government follow Quran and Sunnah we have to follow them other wise not only we can't follow them but if needed than we have try to change them with every means we can get or have
