How could India / Pak / B'Desh manufacturing labour compete with China's?

Still our government workers don't work properly,..
My uncle works for bsnl, he only work for 2-3 hours a day thats only by his presence...
ontopic : I think thats on of the way to get the cheap products with fast rate, otherwise china won't have come this much far..

Leave BSNL, in private sector people work hard and working condition is much better than our northern neighbor.

now we know India can never catch up with China, they never try to find their own problems when falling behind others, they spent all their time finding excuses and others faults to try to cover their failure.that's good, keep it up.ha
Blah, blah, and more blah! :blah: :blah: :blah:

Carry on getting your orgasms!

The reason Foxconn can treat its workers like this is because there's enough people that get tricked by Foxconn to work there.

Most people can't take it and quit after a few months and never look back. The yearly turnover rate in Foxconn is 60% (5% monthly).

Apple, Tech Brands Rattled by Foxconn

"Employing a small city, its 800,000 workers live on two Foxconn campuses in Shenzhen, where they live and sleep in dormitories—about eight to ten per room, reports the New York Times. The monthly turnover rate is 5%, with 20,000 workers leaving each month."

I'm amused by Indians talking about "slave labor" when there is so much slavery in India its unbelievable, with young children being forced to work on dangerous construction sites and hauling dirt for hours under the eyes of overseers with whips.

Hard evidence of child labor at 2010 Commonwealth Games - CNN.com

"The children I saw were the ones where I felt I had documented child labor -- where children were working, picking up hammers, banging stones, paving entry ways and planting grass along the roads to beautify them, hours and hours at a time."

"I documented children aged seven, eight, nine, ten years old working alongside their families in this mad rush to get the construction completed."

Kara, a renowned expert on the subject of human trafficking, also outlined the harsh conditions these children were forced to work under.

"The conditions are sub-human and that's really the only word I can apply," Kara said.

Foxconn is horrible, but I'd rather work at Foxconn than be a child slave on the construction sites of Delhi.

In China,8 hours,5 days a week is law.
Those who work overtime get paid besides salary.
Work overtime is very common thing in China,Korea,Japan.
I worked 10 hours one day when I was in Japan.
Foxconn is well known as a sweatshop factory in China because they often force workers to work overtime to finish its order from all the
world, which caused that 12 workers were unable to stand the pressure and killed themselves among its employment 1.2 million in China.
We are developing country and we have to work hard to catch up the west who pillaged the third world countries in the past and laughe
at them for their poverty now.
Chinese people make economic miracles for their diligence. And that is why India can never compete with China.

End slavery in India!

That is the problem with the Chinese. Here in North America, there are very few people who consider themselves as Chinese. I guess those that immigrate are pissed at their own people for a reason. China was once a very patriotic country, but now, it seems as though they've shifted towards Capitalism.

I don't need to say more, but there are like 5 Chinese members actually in China right now, the rest are overseas Chinese, and the most patriotic is Martian, a Taiwanese born in the US.

that's Foxconn's propaganda, they're truly terrible, but not as bad as the Indian child slaves.
Yes,but I only post these pics to remind some Indians of the truth that every foxconn worker gets a better pay and working condition and dorm than most Indians

Whats the most important point is ,workers in foxconn are free to resign and seek another better job
They are protected by Chinese Labor law

yep, 60% of Foxconn employees quit every year. The children working as slaves on Delhi construction sites cannot quit. They will be whipped and dragged back if they quit.
