How Bangladeshis view Pakistanis today?

This is true. Most of Indians put aside Hindus, even Muslims are ignorant about BD people mentality and development. They just think we are backward people, deprived of basic needs. No roads, buildings and illiterate. And you can see anywhere online they just spew hatred for Bangladeshi. Even the word 'Bangladeshi' is used as a slang. I read a comment when two Assam Bengali Muslims killed by Bodos. One Bodo was saying in enjoyment "Ït isnt human we killed its Bangladeshi and we will keep on killing". When a Bangladeshi is killed by BSF you will just see just their enjoyment. And these people are our neighbors

What is the reason: We are well aware of India through their TV channels and online but nothing of ours allowed there.

Some of the most defiantly idiotic comments I've ever seen on the Internet came from Indians (not just on PDF)

Those armed Bodo tribesmen are genocidal maniacs. I do not know about 'normal' Bodos. In fact, it was here where I first heard of Bodos. I doubt their capabilities and leadership. That is all I can say about them.

From what I gather, Bangladeshi TV channels like NTV were banned from being broadcast over there due to 'extremist' propaganda. The Indians over here say it was a matter of commissions. Some have said that they can view Bangladeshi TV channels.

The vast majority of Bangladeshis are indifferent about Pakistan and Pakistanis. If truth be told, it's not a topic of conversation, but if there was a war between Pakistan and India then we would want Pakistan to win because they share the same religion.

:disagree:

So, you guys are also into Ummah ?

As long as a real beauty of Bengal "Haseena Wajid" is in power and BJP in India. STOP thinking any friendship between Pakistan & Bangladesh.

Hi. I am starting this thread out of mere curiosity since I have never met a Bangladeshi whom I could ask this question. Also I don't know many Bangladeshi members of PDF so I hope @BDforever would tag others for me. Thanks :)

Note: Please don't dig up our shared history between 1947 - 1971 while discussing on this thread as I have witnessed it to be nothing but mudslinging on both sides.
What is your actual problem? I mean I didn't get it. Are you really confused of something? You said in your previous thread that Pakistani don't like Indians. I don't think you know your neighbors very well. Compare the media from the both sides and you will find your answer. What makes you think that they don't hate Pakistanis? Now you want to turn the table towards Bangladeshis though you know that we don't have issues with them.

Let me remind you of a name call bal thackrey and his followers. The biggest hate mongers of Asia.

Depends on whom you are asking.

There are pro muslim bangladeshi who will defend Pakistan fiercly.

There are neutral people who dont have any opinion about Pakistan.

There are people who hate pakistan and evolve around 1971.

It was back pre 1971, but all they got was security (prosperity, civil liberties, military and administrative participation and economic development) of the east lies in the west.

Have you had non muslim chief of military/ prime-ministers, Supreme court judges, presidents, etc?

Find an elder in Dhakka or Chittagong, who witnessed Pakistani Rule in East Pakistan and tell them the above.... you will be surprised by their response.

Actually, Ayub khan is praised in BD for economic progress. All the paper mills, cement mills, fertilizer factories, electricity producing facilities and infrastructure are from his era.

There is a tendency of looking down upon Bangladesh for a variety of reasons on the part of Indians. It is often a matter of perception rather than facts.
nail hammer...... bingo..

I have always maintained India lost bangladesh after 1973, India should have stressed on foresight in ensuring bangladesh got similar incentives like Nepal to help t's economy and similar respect to citizens of bangladesh. Wet bengal, ghoti- bangal equation also played up local prejudices to Bangladesh which in time of it's need did not get much from India. It is one of the worst decisions taken by India...

The reason why Pakistan was able to dominate Bangladesh between 1947 and 1971 was a remnant of British rule in Bengal. The Bengali Brahmins aligned with the British to ensure Bangladeshi Muslims couldn't be educated. And this happened for two hundred years. So when independence came in 1947 and Pakistan was formed, West Pakistan had a far higher percentage of educated people. Only morons would want to be ruled another country. Bnagladesh is an independent country; and that's how we will remain. If Bangaldesh comes under India's control during my lifetime, I'll jump off a bridge.

You are the biggest *** kisser I've seen in my life.

one thing some Indians really like is a Bangladeshi person coming off as similar to a Hindutva and turning facts upside down.

if you say non-Bengalis, "did not have a right" to do well in East Pakistan, why didn't they didn't they have the right?

weren't they and Bengali Muslims together worked for the creation of both East and West Pakistan??

who are you to say that the land of East Pakistan was for Bengalis and not for non-Bengalis, whether the latter was Muhajir migrant from India or from West Pakistan??

why would someone from Ctg want to cheer for the progress of someone from Bogra then? why should a puran Dhaka person support a Ctg person?

you are dreaming if you say EP became independent. it became "Bangladesh" meaning Indian satellite state/a joke/a gift that keeps on giving for Indian intelligence, the rogue Indian government and Indian military.

If it wasn't for Pakistan BD would have been overrun by India immediately after independence in 1947. More BDers would have died in this process than when separating from Pakistan.

We were the cocoon which kept BD safe till they could become a nation. It should not have ended like that. I wish Pakistan had done a peaceful handover like when British gave up Hong Kong.

The quote: "Kill three million of them (Bangladeshis) and the rest will eat out of our hands".

are you sure you are bangladeshi, you are claiming populace pledging support to the great leader who proposed killing 3 million bengalis, to humiliate the rest of them....
elders or anyone doesn't talk about this exact phrase. i know Indians and extreme BAL people love to mention it here and there.

but why was Yahya Khan wanting to kill 3 million innocent East Pakistanis? did he simply hate Bengalis and woke up on one fine morning and decided to do that? you can be assured that if those 3 million included all those pro-India agents, who were trying to help India colonize the rest 70 million lives, he was having full support from majority of East Pakistanis.

I don't agree with that. I believe a nation should be home mostly to people of the same ethnicity, people who share the same culture, language, genetics, and so on. You can see how multiculturalism bring societies down. Look what's happening to the UK and the U.S, and also many European countries. As white European people lose control of those countries due to mass immigration, they are slowly turning into shit holes; certainly they are not the envious places they once use to be. People from developing and even the developed world use to dream about coming to the UK and the U.S., but today they are happy to stay in their own countries. Just look at what is happening to Pakistan. Punjabis and the Pashtuns are at each other's throats, cannot see eye-to-eye. People of different ethnicities usually cannot stand each other. It's a natural reaction of humans, they cannot help it.

I can see where you are coming from. If Bangladesh hadn't broke away as part of Pakistan in 1947 then there would be a possibility Bangladesh would be India today, so for that, I guess we ought to be thankful. However, Bengali Muslims were always very adamant that a separate nation for Muslims would be created and no doubt would have pursued that with a lot of vigour moving on from British independence, even if the Pakistani state hadn't been created. But still, with Pakistani creation it guaranteed that we wouldn't be India.

i think for bangali's there will be mixed views , but it does not matter anymore ,
both countries move on .. almost all countries have history full of sh!t and mistakes ...

I agree with you. Bangladesh has always had its own distinct culture and always deserved an identity.

Pakistan had to fight wars to keep the land and thats after what local militias had to do to chase out Indian outposts in Pak territory after partition. I am telling you, most new nations born like that would have died.
