If they were designed and fabricated in India then this is something to talk about. If not then time to move on.

If you know anything about parallel processing, the harder problem is not gathering a bunch of commodity processors or even manufacturing ones. Any idiot with some money can do that. Its scheduling tasks on it and keeping all of them busy to achieve a speedup. India's greatest achievement was we achieved parallel processing using commodity processors unlike large scale SIMD processors which Cray was using. It is like using a number of low cost moped engines to out-perform a high-cost rocket engine. Thats roughly what India achieved.

Dude , fabricating processors for such small numbers is not economically viable. Does India have a fabrication plant? yes but only for building custom chips.

More over the whole idea of building supercomputer from basic simple procs or basic nodes is it can be scaled very easily. If you have worked on cloud systems you will know why it is an advantage.

Your cheap comments only displays your knowledge about the domain.

Exactly running a OS on top of it is pretty hard. These are not custom build boards or procs but commodity processors which makes it even more tougher. Utilizing all the nodes efficiently & solving the problem requires more skill and knowledge. Problem with idiots is they think they can wire few computers on a LAN or a rack and create a super computer.

Nice to now about Indian adventure though top critical instruments are imported from USA, Russia and other countries.

Would that they started same time some projects to make a common Hindustani's life better, still don't have access basic needs like clean water, health, even toilets further India is the home of world's poorest population with largest slums in the world.

Other areas include medical industry for identifying molecular drugs, dna sequencing ..etc

I wonder, even though it is an achievement for India, how much of that system is indigenous? I am sure the Processors, RAM, Storage, Interconnects, Drivers, Operating Systems etc. are all imported so what exactly is Indian contribution in this? Is it integration, customization and end usage?

You will hit us with what? Nuclear bombs? Even if you throw all the nuclear bombs on India most of India will survive. While if we throw 50-60 nukes, you will be wiped out. Nothing left. Because all your people live very densely near Indus.

While I am on it, lemme put it simply. Pakistan does not have balls to fight a nuclear war with India. Otherwise you would have 'liberated' Kashmir in 1990s.
