With Muslims making up almost 50% of the population with significant number of elite soldiers in the British Indian army I think the Hindus would have been exterminated. OK the British did change the tilt a little but history would have been repeated.

What about Non Muslims who are at the receiving end in their country. South East Asia has never been free from communal violence. There was communal violence in Sri Lanka,Burma, Bangladesh. What about Pakistan, is everything OK there.

My wife's grandfather was a general in the British Indian army and my grandfather was Sargent major in the British Indian army, both commanded elite Muslim soldiers who defeated Rommel in Africa and the Japs in Burma. Neither of them were Pathan or Sikh but North Indian Muslims and their fellow Muslim soldiers were from North India too.
