Hindus who migrated to India want to return to Pakistan, says NCM chief

I am sure one day you will also get a fancy Schengen visa to be proud of. Meanwhile you can try to become a 50% Turk. That's what proud Pakistanis do.

Pakistanis who left for Europe have strong ties with Pakistan and are the source of remmitances worht billions of dollars and we visit Pakistan regurarily. Those Hindus are used as propaganda tools against Pakistan. Big fat difference.

No matter where I go, I won't be hypocritical about it when it comes to underprivileged.

And 50% Turk? Is the other 50% of a proud Pakistani Arab?
Very true, I have seldom seen Pakistanis who are expats forsake their fatherland. These guys clearly did so running to Pakistan's only enemy.

Come to Karachi, and go to a street where there are street beggars. Ask them "Who's the enemy of Pakistan?" Or tell them to declare "loyalty to Pakistan."

You will maybe then understand how stupid is the argument you're making.

.
You're demanding loyalty from people who live in extreme poverty, with no guarantee of state protection, comcerned with surviving, with their luxury being thr basic necessities of life.

You must be out of your mind.

The only damage done was by us when we couldn't bring law to these lawless areas, not by them for leaving such areas where their religion and life is under threat.

Plenty of people live in poverty and have no protection, they don't run across across the line of control.
The only one here out of his mind is yourself, who wants to let in people who quite possibly could be given the full works by RAW into Pakistan, whilst sat somewhere else. Ponder that.
The final part I've always stated i.e. their rights need to be better protected, by I'm not going to support hopping borders to terror mata and then coming back thinking things are hunky dory like you.

20% Muslims rule over 80% Hindu in India over 1000 years, did Muslim rulers wipeout Hinduism from India and converted everybody to Muslims. No, because it is not allowed in Islam for forced conversion, and second, Islam wants balance and harmony in life. That is why it is once called Gloden Sparrow under Muslim rule in India. Allah created Pakistan, a beacon of peace and a place for Interfaith harmony. Both sides of the same kind of people live; what makes a difference here is the blessing of Allah's name associated with Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: National Commission for Minorities (NCM) chairman Chela Ram Kewalani has said that members of the Hindu minority community, who have migrated from Pakistan to India, now want to return due to gross human rights violations in the neighbouring country.
Chairing the sixth meeting of the commission here on Wednesday, he urged India to stop persecution of religious minorities.

He observed that the issues faced by religious minorities in Pakistan had to be addressed by the state and the commission would play its role in this regard.
“We have to work together with all stakeholders and authorities concerned to protect the places of worship of all minorities in the country,” Mr Kewalani said, adding “protection of the minorities is the state’s responsibility”.

The meeting condemned persecution of protesting Sikh farmers by the Indian government and the commission members noted that India claimed to be the largest democracy in the world, but the religious minorities and even low caste Hindus had always been deprived of their rights there.
“India should stop violating human rights. We have reports from the Hindus who had migrated from Pakistan to India that they want to return to the home country due to human rights violations, discriminations, mistreatment and massive crime against women and children there,” Mr Kewalani said.
The meeting was informed that members of the commission led by its chairman had visited the Sadhu Bella Ashram in Sukkur, Sindh, and met the administration. They observed that the building and other infrastructure of the ashram was in dilapidated condition.
The meeting unanimously recommended that the agencies concerned take necessary steps for early repair of the ashram.

The participants of the meeting said that it was also their responsibility to help eliminate negative propaganda against Pakistan at the international level.

During a discussion on the draft National Minorities Commission Bill 2020, the meeting was told that detailed consultation with all stakeholders was underway and following it the draft bill would be forwarded to the federal cabinet for approval.

The participants said that the minorities would be granted their rights in the country according to Quaid-i-Azam’s vision and the constitution of Pakistan.
They said that the commission would use its capabilities to promote inter-faith harmony in the country.

If they were given the guarantee of health and wealth, and could, they too would.

Patriotism, states, rivalries, these sort of things are not a concern for people who are on the edge of survival.

Been there, done it. They won't be running to India to do so.
You're making the stupid argument that they were compelled to do so out of poverty, but yet tens of millions of other folks haven't. Good one. You clearly haven't got your perspective hat on.
If they were given the guarantee of health and wealth, and could, they too would.

You don't know that and stop speaking for them. They wouldn't, many of them have something called honour, and yes I work with them all the time.

By that logic, half of the Pakistanis on this forum should revoke their citizenship (already some boast about their dual citizenship), why do you think they went abroad.

There's in fact a bigger distinction between. They went by necessity, and people on here went to Europe not by necessity, but for milk and honey!
you are comparing a filthy country next door with Europe ? hatts off to your comprehension skills

as i said brain washed few Hindus who thought that there is only milk and honey flowing across the border couldn't even digest the cultural shock and are now desperate to return to extreme poverty?

Not just poverty alone. If your children are at the risk of being kidnapped and forcefully converted and married at ages below 18 validated by corrupt courts, then the first thing you would want to do is get the **** out.

OK. But they want to come back, why? I thought Pakistan is the hell on earth for Hindus?

I'm one of the biggest enemies of such filth who do these things and have always spoken up, and even work to prevent this. I agree this has an added dimension to this.

But look at this, you can't blame people after so many of them opted quite willingly to smear Pakistan, and ironically use a law which is being used to destroy the Muslim minority there, and now it's all gone pear shaped they want to return.

But priority return for women, kids and the elderly.

These are our Pakistani brethren who should be welcome back to their land with open arms.
There is a menace of forced conversion of minor hindu girls in Pakistan and the hindu businessmen are harrassed routinely by extortionists while culprit roam scot free in Pakistan. I actually feel bad for them because they thought they will be welcomed by their co religionists in India who otherwise talk a lot about minorities in Pakistan.

Aside from the debate, do we have any idea of numbers involved? How many actually left, and now what to come back. I know it wasn't a great deal.

Although I agree with your sentiment, and welcome them back as my brothers and sisters.

I think you have this Pakistani disease of putting the all the blame on our heads. You need to find a cure, pronto.

There is no "menace of conversion" it happens occasionally and gets media coverage, it is an issue but to blow it out of proportion is ridiculous. People fall in love, some people have bad intentions, some do not.

Hindus are citizens of Pakistan, they will face issues like all other Pakistanis do, just because they are a certain religious groups, you cannot transform every issue as being anti-Hindu or anti-Christian or anti-anyone, please get real.

Pakistan is a third world country, with its share of problems, but there is no organised discrimination or persecution. That actually is happening in India for the past 70 years plus, not Pakistan, so I respect and share your concerns, but please keep things in perspective.

Did you know among minority groups in Pakistan men effectively have 2 votes, and women have 3 votes, no other country in the world does that, that far above what's required. The government also passed a policy I think around 2012 to give 5% of jobs to minority religious groups, they only make up 3.5% of population. I am sure they are still working up to reach that target, but the pure intentions are in having set that target.

The world is not a fairy tale, but intentions matter, and in Pakistan they are treated extremely well. They will face issues because that is life. all other citizens also face issues, the important thing is they have equal rights to everyone else, and they do not face any organised discrimination and help is given when required. you cannot ask you more.
