I am merely referring to the fact that Pakistani's do not know what is good for them. This is evident through what we vote for and our lack of discipline. As a matter of fact I do not think that any country in the world have people who have the understanding and capacity to take decisions on behest of their country.

The people we call illeterates are master in their own fields and naturally trained craftsman. Our educated class is stupid and superficial. 70% literacy is merely a point to cross for a society to be developed.

Agreed that Pakistanis don't know what is good for them.

But not agreed with 70% education. If education would alone solve Problems we wouldn't have Indian and Pakistanis fighting on the forum(most of which are highly educated).

What we need is an entire change of mindset the way People think.

I am considering visiting Pakistan

What's your business in Pakistan i mean by the words of Obama why are you considering visiting the most dangerous place on planet.

And by the way don't tell People that u are a great fan of Israel.Because before knowing that People would warmly welcome you but after knowing that you will be like a Persona non grata.

For the same reason some people like scaling mountains, I suppose.

I'm not going to lie.

1.Hooo well there are mountains also in Nepal and China. Why Pakistan?

2.Well then you should be mentally prepared because most of Pakistanis will treat you like an Alien and will avoid you.

I am considering visiting Pakistan; yours is not the first invitation. But what makes you think that Pakistan can't birth its own leaders?

American blacks were oppressed for generations. What changed was American society, and a principal motivation for change was revulsion at the sight (broadcast on American television) of blacks being whipped or beaten by police just for asserting their civil rights.

Non-violence. Sometimes you win by being beaten - if other people see it, anyway.

That's quite a stretch. We can always vote in an Obama to change things, and change does occur.

Sometimes a third party crops up, only to have its agenda appropriated by more experienced politicians in one or both of the dominant parties. That's good leadership on their part.

Is that some sort of excuse for doing nothing today?

Pakistan can and does birth its own leaders but US kills them or hangs them so far. Hopefully someone is on the horizon.

As for coming to Pakistan, you are very most welcome and I hope you find the hospitality and country itself worthy of respect.

As for american blacks, they are still oppressed in the southern states, and enough damage has been done to them that a significant percent of their males and females choose path of destruction and sheer repulsion.

In Pakistan, we have more balls then brains, so getting beaten is not an option. Obama gave an impression of change and the only thing he managed is Health care which I do not think means much just yet. His other promises go broken, in my honest opinion, Obama is a clever PR campaign brought in to enhance US image and reputation while continuing the old agenda's.

No, I am not providing excuses for not doing anything. In fact we have done a lot, from our judges to the transvestites and other groups have marched and received justice. We continue to do such things unless it harms our nation, which in this case can happen and other countries can take advantage of civil unrest.

We are all acquiring education and experience in other countries so that we can go help Pakistan. Also your point that americans enjoyed good law and order a hundred years ago is simply untrue.

There was vast corruption in the system, the police and the judiciary were all bought and sold just like it happens in our country, but we are working to make things better. And we will be able to achieve our dream.

You see when Pakistan was created we had one textile and two cement factories (Today we are leading exporters in textile, agriculture and a few other sectors). The president of Pakistan said it is impossible to run this country as it only has 15% literacy and you need 60% to run the constitution that we had. We made it so far on our own. Arabs went to India, Soviets said we will not last, Gandhi said we will be merged back into india within 5 years.

We have faced great difficulties but we are still here and still passing along.

Like I said, our people are educated illeterates. No sense of shame or decency because of our inferiorities but we will change once our generations realize our mistakes.

yes problem also is less education although i don't agree with this phrase that next generation will change the country.

Stilll no Pakistani report?

Even if it is true, it means the kidnappers were retards.

You can't forcefully convert someone to Islam. They either believe it or they dont. The indian report also says that she was forcefully married. Muslims cannot marry Hindus and seeing that she isnt Muslim, the marriage is forbidden.

Therefore the kidnappers have shot their own foot.

Pakistan cant go after every illiterate in the country.

Hindu extremists convert 2,000 Christians in India

A Hindu group claims to have converted 2,000 tribal Christians to Hinduism in Gujarat.

According to UCA News, the conversion ceremony took place late December, at Vyara, 1,300 kilometers southwest of New Delhi. The town is the headquarters of newly created Tapi district.

Hindu groups alleged through media that they converted some 2,500 tribal Christians at a public function. Jesuit Father Stanny Jebamalai, who works in the area, confirmed to UCA News that some 2,000 Christians had joined Hinduism.

Since 1998, when the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power, tribal belts in the state have witnessed sporadic tension during the Christmas season.

Christian missionaries have been accused by the Hindu groups of exploiting tribal property and trying to forcefully convert people to Christianity promising money and jobs.

For the reconversion, "Hindu groups brought tribal Christians from Gujarat's Dangs and Tapi districts, as well as from neighboring Maharashtra state. In speeches at the gathering, Hindu leaders reportedly accused local Christians of joining with Maoists to fight Hindu landlords and convert more people to Christianity," reported UCA news.

Meanwhile, Tapi's deputy collector, NS Halbe told media that the function had government permission and that local authorities have confirmed the conversions.

Father Jebamalai told UCA News the "induced and forced" conversion of tribal Christians was aimed at creating "a sense of fear among Christians and prevent missioners from working in the area".

Christian leaders in the state say that Hindu radicals fear tribal and lower-caste people receiving an education because it may lead them not only to stop slaving for upper-caste Hindus but also to question the idea of high-caste superiority.

Christians in Gujarat have been persecuted, beaten and imprisoned in the state due to the growing presence of anti-Christian elements aiming to subdue Christianity.

In 2003 the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, which rules Gujarat, adopted the Freedom of Religion Act, in reality making any conversions illegal. Violators face up to three years of imprisonment and/or a fine of up to 50,000 rupees (around £650).

This news is from 2008 while the " freedom of religion act",the act that prevents people from choosing their religion freely:what::undecided:, was adopted in 2003, but in this case hindu extremists had full government support.

Forget this Hindu girl who might be fearing for her life for converting to Islam. I know an Indian Hindu international student in my school who converted to Islam at a young age, he has no plans of returning back home b/c if his parents or relatives find out about his conversion, they'll simply kill him given that hes from a prestigious family.

He's already received threats from distant relatives for being a Muslim and converted at the hands of Pakistanis, not to mention received constant harrassment from his fellow Hindu friends. Now he tells us stories of how much he used to hate Pakistanis and anything related to Pakistan or Islam in general....it was like in his psyche/instincts to hate Pakistan before, but now that he had a change of heart after conversion, hatred has been eliminated.

Another Sikh friend of mine converted to Islam in High School...his parents went psycho crazy and constantly accused all of his Pakistani/muslim friends of casting a Magic spell on him. In the words of his mummy "Meray munday taay Jadooo kartaaa" LOL HAHAHAH

That is just one story, I know 2 other hindu converts...who are masha'Allah excellent Muslims.

Many people convert to certain faiths because of genuine religious reasons - case in point being the Indian musician A.R. Rehman. However, Christians do convert people in rural India by offering them some money, jobs etc. I am against that as it is nothing but exploitation and taking advantage of the socio-economic condition of people.

If she forced then she is not Muslim. Some one can forced to recite Kalimah
(الكلمة )millions of time but will not be Muslim until believe in heart and mind with absolute trust in Allah and Muhammad(S.W.S).

@democracyspeaks
dude....the verses about war u were posting were revealed at a time when Makkans were coming to attack Madina just cuz of the fact that muslims from Makkah had gone to Madina...thus God ordered them to fight and defend themselves...its basic right of every one to defend his country or land...so permission to fight was given in the form of a revelation...thats as simple as that...so plz dont copy, paste and twist the actual context and background of these verses.

She is not really converted if she is forced to be converted. The conversion cannot be done with force.

The Truth

If it's about belief in Islam... I agree :agree: but if it's about conversion to Islam ...

History defies your words  and a picture speaks 1000 words

I am more bothered that Pakistani media did not even covered the news than the madrassa. That was really bad.
It goes to show the credibility of this news report. Especially since similar incidents have always been covered by the Pakistani media.
