What's new

Hey Indians, beware of America.

Thats ok, I cannot help if you cannot comprehend what I said.

I fully comprehend it, I just don't see how it has anything do to with my comment. In fact, you comment has nothing to do with mine, so I don't know why you decided to reply to me.

India has always been a vassal state of the US. So India has no choice but to do America's bidding. When has India ever had an independent foreign policy from western powers? NEVER!

You,sir have serious imperfect grasp over Indian History.

On topic:

The author had made some points which may count as fallacious and inaccurately analysed at this present situation. India to become the next New Britain is one of the biggest of them. Since first world war and great depression Great Britain did not have enough chances left but to become the close confidante of USA. India,at the same time does not share the same obligations as Britain did during those periods of economic starvation.

Secondly, its quite absurd and equally at the same time would prove to be a worst blunder to make from India's point of view to involve in International issues just being a pluralistic democracy. We have our own problems quite distinct from USA or Britain and India, fortunate enough since Independence to maintain a decent poise when it comes to International relationship.

I'm a big supporter of Indo-US relations. The closer, the better in my opinion. Unlike other countries, India is too big to be used very easily, unless it is in India's interest to be used... There's way too much old leftist attitudes still prevalent in India. Close relations with the U.S.are in India's interest, not as if China is America's neighbour and enemy & we are being asked to contain it. This is our concern and we must utilise American help to the maximum possible level.

lets not get to close to anybody ... look what happened to their close allies on our western border ..

What does the author mean when he says US will use India as an proxy against China?

Well they will help India grow economically and military so that China has a counter weight next door and so it curtails it's global ambitions, but a strong India will help India-China relations as well, so I believe it would be a win-win for India both in terms of Indo-US and Indo-Sino relations. If anybody believes India will go to war with China for US they are mistaken big time.

Actually India desires great and friendly relations with China, it's in our interest big time but the ball is in China's court for that

The author did not go through alot of points, it is an amateurish stuff, few events/policies includes,

-U.S jet failure in MMRCA contract.
-They gave us nuke deal, what have we given back?
-Indian stance on Palistine issue.

Americans knew that they can't influence like they do Britain and Canada. It is the second populated country in the world and biggest democracy.

RAW budget is $150 million?

It is not even disclosed in parliament or audited..How the author came to k ow about it?

The lacuna he displays comes from the fact that he is Pakistani and views it from a Pakistani POV and equates to policies adopted by Pakistan is what India will also do..

The latest Indian statement on Syria puts his complete article in the trash can.

In the eyes and minds of billions of people:

The US was the world's hero in the early 1900s。

The US became the world's police after the Cold War and remained so till 1990s。.

Now the US has turned itself into the world's gangster。

You should know its not a reward. We would develop eventually Thorium based fast breeder reactors courtesy of Shri.A.P.J Abdul Kalam sir,
What makes you think it was a reward? When we can develop alternate technologies?Chandrayan-I launch was to ascertain if moon had adequate stores of thorium.Do you think we only disclosed the presence of H20 on moon?

If it makes your day,We Indians fool Uncle Sam like no one, blast our Nukes and then our PM announces on TV that we exploded Nukes, Then Uncle Sam checks his apparatus and says W-T-F , i didn't knew it happened?;).

Wah bhai wah! First get help from Americans in nuclear tech and then boldly claim that eventually we would have developed it ourselves. Thats called nashukra pan, lol but its alright thats upto you guys and the Americans. I just wanted to show that how it treats its friends.
We know as it has been doing that with us too.
Now no point arguing about this as no one can win the arguments here.

The US was NEVER the world's hero.

They were always an imperialist mass murdering regime run by a bunch of fascist thugs.

They were imperial thugs in the early 1900's.
Then became a mass murdering tyrannical regime during the Cold War (1945-1991).
Now (1991-present) they are the world's biggest terrorist network.

The US takes care of it's assets, it doesn't consider anyone it's friend or ally. That's actually quite common for a superpower, and ever superpowers before it has done the same. It will go to war when it feels that it's assets are threatened, but it will instantly leave you, if it feels that either you're a lost cause, or it has no use for you. A simple and recent example is the so called "Arab spring"; The US sided with Bahrain, who crushed innocent protesters, while it abandoned Mubarak, because he was a lost cause. Currently, they looking to replace Mubarak (and his successor, Morsi) with someone who's pro-US (Gen. Sisi).

No superpower acts without making sure it has something to gain, it's why the US controls all the worlds oceans and shipping routes.

Please don't think I'm bashing the US, because I'm not. It's doing what it has to, in order to stay on top, no one can argue against that.

You hit the nail right on the head, T-Guy. We don't do anything that anyone else wouldn't do IF THEY COULD. In regards to the threads title, I could never figure out why the U.S. 'hooked their wagon' to the Paks instead of the Indians. WTF were we thinking ?:usflag:

India has always been a vassal state of the US. So India has no choice but to do America's bidding. When has India ever had an independent foreign policy from western powers? NEVER!

India has been used by western powers like Britain and US for 300 years as a western proxy in Asia.

This is why literally every single neighbour of India wants closer relations with China to keep the Indian regime in check. Just look at how Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan are all getting close with us. They despise Indian thuggery and bullying.

India can never be a great power because it only acts on behalf of the most powerful western power of the time. This is why despite having a similar population to us, India is never relevant geopolitically because everyone knows India will automatically follow western orders like the vassal state that it is.

India as a vassal state? Wow. Then what would you call Pakistan as China's boot licker?

When has India ever opposed the US in major GEOPOLITICAL decisions? NEVER!

So yes, India is a vassal state of the US whether you like it or not.

Are you high India has never gone with any of the side. India always follows what UN dictates, even with the issue in Syria India had clearly stated that it will follow any resolution that the UN will put forth and not something put forth by a single country.

Yes, India has a long history of opposing the US on international matters. But now it is slowly aligning with America which makes many people in India very uncomfortable. It is also buying a lot of American arms in the name of diversification which will give the US a strong handle over India in the future. However, it needs to be understood that the cause of this shift is the need to effectively counter China. China is perceived by Indians as an extremely hostile and treacherous country.

No wonder they suck in long term geo politics and threat perception.

Well, India do not even know its place in the world. Its delude by its own superpower movie. So it start to conduct foreign policy as if its India in the superpower 2030 movie.
