Allmost the same way in my case too. I never loSt any fight in my karate tournaments. But I was ..ls a peaceful guy who is afraid of getting Inot fights. But once I had to fight with a guy on the street.

This guy who is a friend of mine and my younger bro had an issue with my bro which led to a fight. In fact it was a silly thing but that guy took it seriously and he landed just one punch on my bro's face got 3 stitches.

I had to intervene and waited him next day as he was evading me. Finally I got him at the evening and got into fist fight. I got one punch and give him 3..4. Then as usual elders including his father came I between and compromise without police case.

The entire village came to know about this and eroded my cool image..

Whereas my bro was in company with him after few days.

Nope, I never get a chance to have any Karate tournament, my friend had. I am not really discipline in that club, so I am not considered when there was a tournament for Jakarta area. I just never get lost in any Kumite fight over my friends studying Karate there (similar age).

Actually we can kill (or damaging their body badly) a man during a fight by bare hands and foots if we want to by striking a particular area in their body thats why it can be really dangerous to fight some ones who got trained in martial arts and has cold blood as well.

From my experience, what is important in street fight is to control us from being controlled by our emotion, we need to be cool and fight using tactic. Thats why I said inner piece is the key.

Ya in college days when I was in hostel ..That night we four friends after dinner in mess went out to breathe some fresh air ..We saw few people beating an old watchman in a nearby arts college ..We tried to help old man and interfered ..Within minutes those rowdies targeted us ..They closed shutters and started to beat us ..Soon we realized that all of them are drunk and we can easily beat them ..We started to beat them and one of them got seriously injured ..One of them made a call to local rowdie ..Realizing that situation is going out of hand we retreated ..But sad part is the same security man we wanted to rescue was not opening the shutters for our retreat .They warned him not to open ..It was a do or die situation for us ..Fight started again and those drunken monkeys were unable to fight anymore ..Then we threatened watchman to open the locked shutters ..Those same rowdies came to our hostel twice but not gathered enough courage to start a fight ..Though we had fear but we never showed it to them ..Being engineering students from humble background it was an uphill task for us to convince ourselves that we are ready to fight with some street rowdies !!

Very smart!!!
You saw my vote. Didn't you???
The fight that I had in mind happened when I was in Nagaland.
Being a Tom boy I ended picking up a fight with few Naga boys(who are supposed to be short tempered).
My principal called me in his office and drilled some sense into me that day (the typical "you're a girl" and "you should avoid such fights" blah blah). He did not stop at it, he also rang up my father and informed him about the fight.
Needless to say that at home I did get to hear sermons for next few days and faced emotional blackmailing too. :(

Got into 3 solo and 1 group fights in school and 1 group fight in 2nd year of grad .

Never lost any of them I choose my opponents very carefully . :nhl_checking:
Group fights are epic, back in Grade 7 we had one with another section, because we hated them and they hated us. started one on one, soon the situation escalated. It was a good day.
