Has anyone here (particularly the Chinese) purchased anything from AliExpress?

I am looking for spare parts for an electronic device. I have found it only on AliExpress.
How safe is it to purchase something from AliExpress? Does this website have a good reputation in China? Are there many scammers on the website?

If someday I travel to China, where can I find spare parts for laptops, mobiles, etc.? Is there a particular street or place for this sort of thing in Beijing or other cities?

My job is to sell cemented carbide products in aliexpress. I sell more than $1.3 million a year. That is Alibaba's website, credit is no problem.
If you travel in China, you have countless ways to get computer accessories, and it's very fast. Every city has some electronic mall with countless stores online. There are also live broadcast sales, short video sales, TV sales, exhibition sales and so on.
Don't worry, I think China should be the most convenient and complete shopping area on earth.

Mileage may vary...

Electronics can be a 50%/50% scam chance, especially stuff like smartphones, and near holiday dates.

Look for old accounts with good positive feedback score. Don't buy from sellers carrying tons of random stuff.

Look up who is giving them feedback, and if it makes sense. Fake feedback is everywhere on tao. Be suspicious if somebody giving feedback gave feedback to gazillion of stores, or buy completely random stuff, or having no other feedback.

If somebody claims to be an "official account" of a brand, lookup their business license, and whether it matches.

Used it for small items many times. They are cheaper. I can get several times cheaper stationary in Australia when I order from Ali express vs ebay/amazon.

I recently got 20 markers for 8$. Here in Australia I can only get 2 markers for 8$! 20 vs 2. Yes their quality and finishing is poor, but who cares? They seem to write well and last just as long! I am not bothered with marketing crap!
