Hameed Gul on Wagah blast.

I am not a very intelligent person to get the whole thing. but last few years I see gen. hamid and zaid hamid showng and explaining various threats from various sides to pakistan. none of the things (none) they say ever happened. infact some ppl on live tv asked them to come back on tv at their said threat time. but hey! nothing happened to pakistan. what purpose they hold to show such threats?

Some people are still stuck in 1988. This guy used to be the state guest of Talibunnies in Afghanistan. No wonder he will tell anything to save them. Amusingly when they themselves are owning up this blast, this guy still claims otherwise.

one thing is for shore we Pakistanis understand if so many of you Indians are apposing Hamid gull sahib then he is right .VVVVVVVV

It's debatable whether HG was right in his approach to the Soviets ( and it probably wasn't his decision anyway), but what is difficult to understand is his refusal to be objective in his analysis nowadays.

The General never criticises the Taliban or other extremist groups even when the evidence is overwhelming; when his close friend Col Imam was shot by TTP, HG immediately pointed fingers at outside groups (calling it all a 'drama'). He never once denounced TTP. Today, history has shown the truth of TTP and Hakimullah Mehsud.

This video of his own son's views on Lal Masjid operation are quite revealing too. With HG sitting right next to the mike, his son calls for the hanging of Musharraf, calls the Lal Masjid terrorists 'Shaheed' and accuses the army of murdering many women and girls. It's sad to see the General is not standing by his military brethren.

So many Pakistani's hang on his words but it seems like he is more interested in protecting his 80's reputation than telling the truth.

He is psycho and terrorist sympathizer. Just because he severed Pakistan does not make him God or super Human. These are the same guys who are responsible for making Terrorist as asset and creating mess inside Pakistan. But its like : " bhains ke aage been bajana "

Just a general anecdotal observation. I find some changes in the Pakistani mindset - typified by #2 on this thread - whether temporary or contrived (Taqiyya - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia or just the need of the hour, I am not sure. Also it seems its mostly the moderators. Have other non-Pakistanis noted it too?

The change seems to be a recognition of where Pakistani society may have astrayed/gone wrong/....

What an enormously condescending remark.

Crying? Present me with arguments, not your beliefs about the commander of the faithful and his supporting cast members or ad hominems. The nation's in mourning because of this man and his past actions! The same Jihadis which he once trained, have now gone haywire, just as they once went during his tenure as ISI chief, after the Soviet withdrawal, after which the Mujahids fought each other for wealth and power in Afghan, the reason for Peshawar accords which were a failure. Taliban terrorists were fine in Afghanistan, they aren't so fine in Pakistan are they? How come is a Jihad in Afghanistan good, but bad when done in Pakistan? Afghan Taliban recently did condemn the "shahadat" of Hakeemullah Mehsud when he was sent to hell, in a drone attack on 1 Nov-2013, it should make their loyalties more than clear to their supporters. All Moulvi-Mullahs-Qari-Muftis who were once trained under his orders, are now wrecking havoc in the country. All the Tajiks-Chechens-Afghans-Arabs-Afghans are here too, he really thinks he can fool the nation by speaking the regular Jihadi twisted content of America/India/Israel involvement when the TTP has taken responsibility yesterday?

P.S Ironically, more and more Pakistanis are convinced that the commander of the faithful's past policies and actions are responsible for current events, just open the T.V. and watch a debate on these topics today. Not everybody agree with same Zia administration propaganda of Soviets trying to reach warm waters, when he was busy extracting economic benefits from the same enemy, they were fighting under the guise of religion. You should remember that time for PTV exclusivity is long gone, there is no one official version of truth accepted as divine by the public today.

I will take a wise enemy over these foolish friends anyday. Remember, secular or liberals or Hindus aren't blowing, its the hyper-religious segment, one known as God's viceroy and religious psycopaths that consider its holy duty to set itself off, everywhere it gets a chance. If you like him so much, why dont you come here and enjoy a Pakistan that he and his associates, have built? :)

Just do what he says, not what he does. You want him to leave the liberal democracy he's holed up in and get down into the dirt and mud? Are you crazy?

@Secur and @Oscar @Bang Galore

Since all of you respected members of this forum, and Secur your a TT as well.

Can I present a hypothetical scenario for you in which you are an Indian PM. I would like to hear your views of how India should tackle 'the Pakistan problem' ( ofcourse from an Indian POV). I would like to pick your brain on this issue.

Be ruthless in your assessment - use the true strengths and weaknesses of both India and Pakistan.

Go ahead, chaps, since you are apparently essentially jobless - nothing better to do.

just a question ............that dilusional old mate in the video says India was never united except under mughals or British .

wasnt Emperor Ashoka had larger kingdom????

and when in the history mughals had control of whole India ???? South India was out of their reach ....so was Assam ....in fact Assam defeat mughals when mughals attacked them

Forget these dabblers in history; they are as idiotic as the Sangh Parivar in their manipulation of history in a vain attempt to look good.

i am sure, this man has spend more years in army than your age and he knows more reality than anyone of us..i think it is not fare with the person.

Napoleon was confronted by a sergeant who complained that he had not been promoted in spite of his long service. His response was to point at a mule standing near them and to remind the sergeant that the mule had put in more years still, but remained a mule.

The number of years someone served has nothing to do with the matter.

On old record players, the needle gets stuck in one track, never to come out of the same old whine, until the record breaks or the player breaks, or the owner takes an action.

Our nation has given this donkey, too much time, and our leftie Islamist media sucks his balls 5 times a day while keeping their eyes in the direction of KSA.

They don't oppose. Indians love him for HG mentality has killed more Pakistani soldiers than all the wars with India combined.

Indian policy makers may make statements but then they turn around. and just laugh at this village idiot.

Hehehe... No Indian will oppose people like HG and ZH gaining prominence in Pakistan. If these people and their Mullah friends control Pakistan, there is only one way Pakistan is headed to. And We( as Indians ) certainly would not like to come in the way. However we do comment once in a while as human being.

BTW do check how many Pakistanis have called him names in this thread only.

Why are you putting all the blame for this on hamid gul? he retired way back. Why do you forget all these suicide bombs and terrorism started after 9/11 and musharraf was the main person who let americans use our country. All these movements are a result of that. What hamid gul did in Afghanistan proved worthy and attackers of Afghanistan paid the price. If you think it was him who 'lied' to the nation that Pakistan will be the next target you need to watch what zia ul haq said in his speeches in that time. Zia was the army chief and president then. So before you put all the blame on one person try seeing all aspects. I like the patriotism he talks with. And mostly talks about unity of muslims which now, seems like the only way to get rid of western invaders and bring long term peace.

You know what the problem is? You do not have answers, what you are giving me, in this post, like several other of my countrymen have done before you, is a belief that what Commander of the Faithful or Zia Administration did back then, was absolutely right. You do not have valid reasons and facts to support what you are saying, judging by how not one person has tried to answer my questions raised in multiple posts, in the same thread, all of you seem to be repeating what you may have heard or read. You simply accept what you are given to accept, you do not question it, at all. I can see, how Pakistanis, bought the myth of warm waters, given under the cover of religion, so readily at that time.

I have tried seeing all aspects, the problem is that all stories begin from the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, not the attacks on twin towers, as Zia apologists would like us to believe. Because then he had the chance, to refuse participation in a war to further American interests, in the region. Musharraf, as it later would happen, enjoyed no such luxury, after the U.S. threat of " co-operate or get bombed back to stone ages" and Mullah Omar refusal to hand over his "guests", he had only one choice and that was to comply. And dont tell me that you would have fought with D.C. with Chinese help, because it doesn't work like that. Attackers of Afghanistan shouldn't have been, our concerns, about time we get over the delusional Ummah concepts and stop taking care of routine shitstorm in their countries, we are responsible merely for Islamic Republic of Pakistan, not the whole Islamic world. We have destroyed our country, having run the foreign policy on emotions, I hope we can get past that.

Mr. Gul is a pissant and a hardcore Talibitches supporter. He has done more harm to Pakistan than India did in all the wars together.
He is not its liars like you who have caused the most damage and seculars like ejaz haider were saying same thing Mr

So many Pakistani's hang on his words but it seems like he is more interested in protecting his 80's reputation than telling the truth.

The General knows the overall truth about the Pakistan Taliban, how they are indigenously bred monsters and not thousands of foreign agents landing from Indira Gandhi/JFK/Ben Gurion/Heathrow/Sheremetyevo/Charles De Gaulle Intl's, how they are citizens of this country and unintended consequences of the infrastructure that he helped to build and the indoctrination that Hameed Gul once helped to impart his fellow countrymen with. The question is why should he criticize his own creations? Hence, turning a blind eye and going all the usual Jihadi mumbo jumbo of America/India/Israel when confronted with the cold hard truth about these religious psychopaths. His only legacy, besides playing with the political leaders, is the Afghan Jihad and its understandable why he doesn't wish to let it go. Even if it means, talking nonsensical BS at all times and blaming others, when the TTP has claimed responsibility ages ago. I have no doubt that his offspring would have continued the proud "denial and blame" strategy, of his deceiving father.

A must watch for every Hameed Gul supporter though, thanks for posting it here.

98 % TTP are locals or Uzbeks but that doesn't mean few off them are not being paid and hardly 2 % are those who were trained by us than turned against us initially TTP was small and focused on brutal revenge but than many joined them including RAW paid people
