It's deceptive though. Sure there are civilian casualties and if Israel's civilians were not in shelters, there would be casualties for them too.

But let's remember that after the last conflict they inflated their civilian dead number.

Even the UN report was rendered inaccurate because Hamas lied about casualty figures.

Yesterday Israel dropped leaflets warnings certain neighbourhoods about upcoming strikes. Told them where to go for safety.

Hamas came out and told everyone to get back and not leave.

So these are the reasons for civiian casualties - but it's quite a low number considering a few things

1) Hundreds and hundreds of air strikes
2) Very dense area
3) Hamas using the civilian population for cover (they even admit this)
4) Hamas using the back gardens of people to shoot rockets, knowing that retaliatory strikes will hit that spot.

I agree with these Arabs memrii is a good news channel and it always good to see their videos. That being said I really do not see why Hamas would have provoked this latest round of blood shedding, they literally had nothing to gain and everything to lose from such a thing. Especially after the unity government was formed so unless they are totally retarded it makes no sense that they would go out of their way to start this and Israel has yet to provide proof that Hamas was behind the original murders.

Hamas's rockets did not kill anyone is because Israeli's prepare for it.
Their interception system calculates and destroys those rockets which are headed for populated areas.
Israeli's are trained to immediately hit the bunkers and areas of protection designed close to them the moment rocket attacks start.

If they did not do these things, you would have seen pics of as many dead Israeli civilians on this forum. The rockets arent stupid, Israeli's are better prepared.

Because they would get fired at from multiple locations on the ground. Urban warfare is very complex. Why should they expose their citizens to unnecessary risk when they have the ability to bomb the areas from where the rockets are being fired.

The aggressor is the one who started this round of hostilities which is Hamas.
They should not have killed the 3 children
They should not have started firing rockets into Israel.

The Palestinian people do also have a system of protection - they can choose to stop Hamas from firing from populated areas. That would solve the problem for them. As long as they allow Hamas to fire from their midst, they are bound to get hit in retaliation.

Yes, but Israeli's will naturally think of Israeli's first. If by killing 2 Palestinians, they can save 1 Israeli life, then they would do it.
Exactly how if killing 2 Pakistani's saves the life of 1 Indian, I would have no doubt my Govt will take that decision.

Hamas fires with the goal of killing maximum number of common Israeli people. It is to Israel's credit that they ensure no one dies.
Stop trying to think that Hamas is not trying to kill normal Israeli people or that it is all 'equal-equal'.

Why should Israel try to avoid firing when Hamas does not.
