Greece intensifies diplomatic offensive to counter Turkish aggression

.
Both sides are responsible for the rising tensions in the Mediterranean.

The international agreements are violated by both countries. I don't know which side has started it but i see no settlement of issues for a foreseeable future despite the economic agreements and official meetings. Since both countries are trying to team up against one an other, it is really hard to say that it will end without a serious conflict.

In case of teaming up, Greece will have more chance to have more allies at least between western oriented countries. On the other hand Turkey can be called the stronger side on its own.

Let us hope for no conflict
Here you accuse Greece of treaty violations, but without mentioning which ones. I will give you a typical example of the Greek-Turkish conflict, and you judge accordingly.

How is the EEZ agreement reached between two countries?
Accordance International Law, the following procedure is followed:

1- Initial talks between the two states based on the basis of reciprocity and good neighborliness.
2- If the talks fail, then they continue based on the Law of the Sea(UNCLOS).
3- If a country disagree or does not accept the Law of the Sea, then both they go to International Courts.
4- If a country does not even accept the jurisdiction of the International Courts, then it threatens, invades, bullying and act as the troublemaker of the region.

Guess which country is this?

.
Notice how the brave Greeks are running from one capital to another to get help against the turks...yet Greeks on this forum talk so much crap

.
2- If the talks fail, then they continue based on the Law of the Sea(UNCLOS).

We dont care about UNCLOS from 1982
1923 Lausanne Peace Treaty established a delicate balance between Turkiye and Greece by harmonizing the vital interests and legitimate rights of both countries in the Aegean

btw USA-İsrael-Turkiye and many more Countries did not sing UNCLOS

If a country disagree or does not accept the Law of the Sea, then both they go to International Courts.

Stop crying and Go to International Courts

but Greeks can not go to International Courts
because even UNCLOS doesnt give a right to Greek Islands to generate EEZ of 200 nm

only territorial water

4- If a country does not even accept the jurisdiction of the International Courts, then it threatens, invades, bullying and act as the troublemaker of the region.

by international law , Greece has no any right in the Eastern Mediterranean

therefore Greeks wants to use USA-The EU to steal oil/gas reserves and 150.000+ km2 of area from the Turks in the Eastern Mediterranean

using military power
threaten with economic sanctions

Notice how the "strong" Turks complain about tiny garrisons on remote islands and imaginary S-300 radar lockdowns.

See why your logic is flawed:

We're not stealing anything. We're protecting what is legally ours and everybody else supports our claim. If that pisses you off, then don't be mad,you supposedly discovered a massive gas field in the Black Sea. So there, don't cry.

1923 Lausanne Peace Treaty established a delicate balance between Turkiye and Greece by harmonizing the vital interests and legitimate rights of both countries in the Aegean
And you destroyed that balance by disputing areas, creating grey zones and arguing about the sovereignty of Greek islands. All that from the 80's onwards. You had no problem for 60 years and then you woke up one day with an appetite to grab sea and land.

but Greeks can not go to International Courts

You don't want to go to the International Courts, because you know you'll be out of legal arguements. So all you do is prolong the talks and keep the tensions high, while at the same time blaming Greece for "provocations". You have a populist government that thrives on propaganda and lies, feeding the masses with fictionary enemies and reminding them of the "old glorious days".

.
But just like you reporting me to mods your country men are running from capital to capital.. nevermind. At least you are safe on PDF

It is you, the Turkey, that who have been denying the jurisdiction of International Courts since 1978.....
Have you seen where your political leadership is hiding them.....

Why are you afraid of the mods? Because you act like an immature kid?

Nope, the Law is clear.....

Yes the Law is clear ..... Greece is not archipelagic state

If the entire country of the state consists of islands like Indonesia , New Zelland , then the islands will have maritime jurisdiction area

and if it is a continental country like Greece , then continental country should be taken as the basis, not the islands

It is not rational for an island, which is 2 km from Turkish mainland and 580 km from Greek mainland to create a continental shelf area of 40.000 km2,
and it is not in line with the provisions of international law.

The International Court of Justice has so far made decisions supporting Turkiye's views in disputes in categories similar to the Kestellerizo Island.
Among the decisions in this category, the first ones that come to mind are the UK-France case in 1977, the Malta-Libya case of 1984, and the Nicaragua-Colombia case of 2012
