Greece in talks with Russia to buy missiles for S-300 systems

Chinese and Russian systems are always integrated to national networks and NATO's air defense network via buffer/proxy software. The US doesn't like it because of security reasons bla bla bla but nobody really cares.

Chinese are going to get S 400 and this clearly shows that Russians are having good relations with Chinese.

The Aviationist » Hellenic Air Force Fires S-300 Air Defense System for the first time

According to reports Greece wants to upgrade its S300.

S-300 is a mobile long range anti-aircraft system (HSAM) with a search radar range of 300Km and engagement range of 150km.

The system is comprised of a Command and Control Unitt (83 M6E) and 2 Fire control Units (90ZH6E). Each Fire Control Unit has 4 Launching stations.

The system consists of 2 Batteries, 8 Launchers and 39 Missiles.

Greece first fired an S-300 during the White Eagle 2013 military exercise, which was the first time it was used since it was bought 14 years earlier.

But if you go here Hellenic Air Force - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia it says:

S-300PMU1 AA missile system: 1 Battery / 8 launchers / 39 missiles

Whatever. In any case read this thread from start to finish: WAFF | Greece & Turkey Defence Forum | World's Armed Forces Forum: ISI Hellas Universal Link System
