As much you critique PTI gov , as a student whose just finished college , to know that the extreme burden of BS number marking instead of grading is finally removed , one can only pray that the gov stays the next term as well ,

There already is a grade system since always above 80 percent A plus grade above 70 percent A grade above 60 B

Changing grading system won't change anything until the syllabus and quality of teaching are not improved along with labs and other facilities.

Very good decision, Buzdar and his special assistant Shahbaz Gill are really taking revolutionary decisions to improve examination system of Punjab. Shahbaz Gill Jatta carry on the reforms!

I really had a big problem to explain my Pakistani system of "numbers" in my matric and FSc, BSc, MSc certificates and degree to my German University administration, they were really confused about this stupid "number" grading system, rather than the standard A (Very Good), B (Good) , C (Satisfactory) , D (Sufficient), F (Fail) grading system in German educational institutions.

So using same old curriculum but using different type of grading system for exams is biggest and game changing act of Govt

Yet you have no idea how much better grade system is for student mental health , in a society where parents mock their children for getting 10 marks less than their neighbours son ( out of 1000 ) , hopefully they implement grade boundaries system as well and change curriculum, so entire batches aren't wasted because just their year the papers was harder,
Now sir I respect you and I'll this one pass , but please the emoji at the end was a bit annoying and I never implied it's a game changing act , but for a student or 2 who might have ended their life due to the 10 mark difference , it could be a life saving decision

It's only a small positive step. Until the root and branch reform of the teaching system is not done, including updating curriculum and applying modern pedagogical methods - Change will be skin deep only.

Nice of you to reply him with kindness, but the fact is he is just another butt hurt patwari who benefited from the previous system somehow or the other and it is his life mission to put down any good step of the present government.

you raised many good points. I never though about it because I did not study in this system. Yeah, I remember some of my aunts boasting about their children scoring tonnes of marks in some exam and I always found it difficult to relate or interpret them until and I got %ages and kind of A == marks >= 80%,

I find it stupid personally. In my university, they had grades and they would never tell us how much marks we got but a grade.

Like i am not a little bitch who can't take how much marks i got. In fact, it failed to tell me how good i did and if i had made a lot of mistakes in my exam (a to b had huge marks gap). This grading system will cause stress for kids as well.

But this is the tabdeeli. Give a lollipop to public and fool them.

I have studied in normal fsc, college systems and an a/o level studied person isn't smarter than me. In fact, they're as dumb as the ones in normal ones. My younger brother studies a/o level and he's overburdened and overstressed. His college forced him to study this shit and i don't see any benefit out of this. The content is a lot and they include a lot of crap that won't ever be helpful to the kid.

Want to improve Pakistani education system? Get modern. The books used are from the 90s even in universities, the teachers aren't punctual, there's lack of extra curricular activities, education is made a stressful activity, the teachers are crap. There's lack of practicals and laboratories are either shit or nonexistent.

These are expensive to do than the lollipop PTI gave but PTI doesn't have this country's interest in mind so why would they actually improve it? 6 years in KPK and all they did to hospitals was improve the cosmetics of front so it looks good on media then spent it on BRT.

I also don't understand the worship of West in these slave minded people. The only thing different between Pakistan and developed countries education system is practical work and research. I have done microbiology and the university lab i had to work with was crap, lacking equipment. This is the story of Pakistan from school to universities. Research? How do i research crap with broken *** microscopes and hazardous labs.

grading system will not work when our number of govt universities are less and quality of education is low,numbers are needed due to low availability of seats in govt universities and merit is decided on the basis of single number due to high competition.First govt increase capacity of universities only then grading will work
