Sir, forget export - I will be surprised if they will be able to match the local demand.....it's a billion dollar industry and I saw it should be legalized ---

Although I never had one nor do i intend on drinking but the fact is alcohol consumption is getting common in our society - it is being consumed at wedding ceremonies, parties, clubs - all of it is undocumented and black economy, Govt can generate good revenue from it

we live in a country where people will fire off 2 lak worth of ammunition on the wedding, pay lakhs to the transgender and girls for Mujra, spend thousands on the k case of alcohol.....if alcohol consumption is banned then the first two should be banned too......

I'm in favour of legalising Psychedelics like DMT specifically instead of alcohol. Our brain, lungs and other organs produce it naturally anyways.

Many who take DMT end up quitting smoking and drinking after just one experience. A vast majority change their lifestyle for betterment as well. It's being used for addiction cure as well.

Death of EGO, Death of the Fear of Death and a lot of other life changing benefits.

No wild stupid behaviours either.

But obviously not suitable for really screwed up people, just as alcohol is not for them.

Good idea. Double tax every intoxicant, increase taxes on Alcohol and legalize it for all but enforce strict ID logging on who purchases it.

Same goes for prostitution, legalize it and then record prostitute visitors with publicity searchable entries on their NiC.

Govt wants to legalize sheesha to collect more taxes

The Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination has suggested lifting the ban on sheesha in Pakistan.

Talha Iqbal, a representative of the association, said if a restaurant sells 50 sheeshas a day and a tax of Rs 100 is imposed per sheesha, in a day it will add up to Rs5,000. In a month it will add up to Rs150,000 and in a year the government could earn more than a million rupees from this business, he said.

Although, sheesha should be banned by the government which is harmful for health but Senator Mian Muhammad Ateeq, who is head of the committee said that according to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision, they want to shift Pakistan’s black economy towards a documented one.

If we remove ban on sheesha they would have to pay tax in this way people would avoid it.

Legalised gambling is better as you can't passively inhale gambling.
