Not even a year if the pawns are asked to maintain the deadlock by any means. Government repeatedly said that their other demands were fully agreeable. But IK never advanced from PM's resignation or versions of it deliberately.

You've shown the disease in the latter part of your post, while you point out the symptoms in the first part. Can you connect these two? Its really simple.

Politicians CAN solve their issues. But when characters like IK and TuQ are available, it would seem as though politicians can really not solve their issues.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on late Thursday night announced that Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has been appointed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as a 'mediator' and 'guarantor' for the current crisis between the govt and protestors in the federal capital.

Speaking to their respective supporters, Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan said they have given the prime minister 24 hours upon Gen Sharif’s assurances.

I take offense with this post.

While Pakistan Army is not US Army in might and power projection, it is one of the few organized and functioning institutions in the country and the only institution which have saved Pakistan from absolute devastation from multiple external and internal threats using both hard and soft methods.

Since the loss of great civilian leaders such as Liaqat Ali Khan and Quaid-e-Azam, Pakistan have witnessed a long break in emergence of a great civilian leader until Imran Khan. And Imran Khan had to work really hard to mobilize the educated class of this nation to step-up and challenge prevalent status-quo and mafia culture in the country (18+ years of struggle involved).

Why do you think that the army had to step-in to resolve the current political crises? Only and only due to ineptness of Sharif Brothers. This family have proven to be incapable of understanding the issues of the masses, take principled stand on matters of national interests and learn from past mistakes.

By asking Army Chief for political help PM Nawaz Sharif has insulted and belittled the parliament and people's mandate. It was Not The ARMY who got Involved it was PM who wanted Army in, Even Minister of Interior Mr Nisar (a.k.a Mr Bean) called for "POSITIVE" Role from ARMY

He was brought to a position where he had NO other choice. Do you see that?

I do not deny that PML-N people's ineptness. But this HAD to happen one way or the other. Be gullible or act smart. Its up to you.

Or rather they are not allowed, I repeatedly said that Imran is a leader of Political party, he is not TuQ who runs a peer-mureed Inc. He should have been given a face saving, not TuQ. But he showed no flexibility and is now left with the biggest face palm. Even a bigger one is yet to come when he takes back his resignations.

Aap ka apna PM hi mintain kar raha tha COAS kay sath...and now finally after much insistence, he has come into the public role in this situation.

Had Nawaz Sharif and the lot had enough political acumen, this wouldn't have happened.
