I don't think so it's only in Lahore the morally corrupt culture we living in it's sure happening all around Pakistan. If they selling it in meat shops no wonder they splaying it in resturants also where after cook hard to know what was it:yakh: sad and horrible bad.

some time back i said on this forum when so called "Dharna by IK & AQ" were going on in islamabad to a IK supporter that so called "naya pakistan" can not be made till the lanat of feudalism is alive in pakistan and all this democracy or no democracy wont change anything and this was very sarcasticalli explained by Hassan Nisar in one of his shows where he narrates a story about core of feudalism in pakistan of a whedra to his young son by first starving chicken in the barn and then feeding them

But what to do then. Military takeover is not a solution either since it all boils down to a single person. But unfortunately the military administrators have been better than these democratic bastards on average. Even in Zia-ul-Haq's time, people we much better but then he created a lot of sectarian problems and intolerance which still bugs the country. Musharraf did many things good but then also supported this ugly war against Afghanistan and did NRO.

Food adulteration is bane for the subcontinent.

Unless the countries of the region up their standards and put up a mechanism where there are food labs in each province/state with effective corruption less task force with severe punishments and penalties this issue is going to stay.

The other important factor is social awareness of long term effect of food adulteration which includes severe usage of pesticides in vegetables and fruits by farmers and people using chemicals in storage godowns for the longer shelf life.

I still dont see any of such massive movements to address this issue either from India or any other country in the region

Under whose rule all these raids and sealing of shops and hotels is happening? Criticism should be fair, people forget that these vendors did not start this business of selling donkey, dog meat etc. recently, this has been going on since long and it is Shabaz who has backed the ops and raids against these haram kay pillay.

This has been happening for quite some time now. The govt did take action recently and everyday you hear police arresting donkey meat sellers. The problem comes that most of their customers are hotel and dhabha owners who look at the price tag and buy it cheap. Some shops in androon lahore have also been nabbed as well.

Couple of weeks ago I was watching a documentary.. It was near Karachi and the area was famous for rabri. The rabri was made in horror unhygienic conditions and various chemicals which are poison to the body were used along with tissue papers as well. There were flies and larva growing in one of the rabri containers...

Its a dog eat dog country. Just a couple of days ago the milk men were protesting saying that the gov crackdown on clean milk is hurting them and they were protesting on two points. One the milk price needs to be increased and two the govt needs to stop pushing them on sanitation.

I still can't get over the hotel management strike against food authority. Unbelievable.

Isko kehtey hien aik tu chori oper se seena zoori.. Govt alone can't do every thing people should participate also. Long time back in my town a butcher was accused of selling ill animals meat (Beef) people gather and take a decision to impose huqa pani ban on full butcher tribe and stop buying meat from them even grocery and vegetable seller stop selling them and result till date is that they bring live animals and display 2 or 3 hours in front of their shops and butcher them in front people and the meat sold just with in hour.

In today's newspaper the district administration of Multan has decided to register adulterated food cases under terrorism act. The dco constituted 6 teams to do raids and and on spot arrests of those that have been found to be selling adulterated food items.

Expecting a strike in Multan against this. All these inhuman monsters think about is their profit.

its not about the "personalities" but the society and if you have to bring change you need to change it from bottoms up not vice versa and for that you have to take very hard decissions which are all against the many prevailing age old concepts

1. Kill feudalism
2.Change & reorganise your beurocracy and judiciarry
3.Change your educational system
4.Change your priorities regarding Ummah and looking every thing thru lence of muslim Vs non muslims

I have heard from few restaurants owners that hamza shabaz have started beef houses. Now they Punjab food authority is doing indirectly publicity. showing that meet products purchased from local sources are unhygienic .

what the beurocracy & judicarry/Police is doing is part of there job it was the beurocracies incompetence that they dint act on it for so long but better late than never .... no mercy should be shown to those who adultrate and hoard food & medical items
