I remember when we were in school at that time PTV used to air live World Cup football matches and once a very senior newscaster pronounced/read name of Argentine footballer Caniggia, as Chiina Gaayee dahhh and me my brother we were laughing constantly because as we knew its Caniggia . Another blunder many of us must be aware of is reading چنانچہ as Channa Bacha

Trying to phonate using a different alphabet can be tricky. Try writing paint, pant and peanut in Urdu and reading it quickly.

This is not hilarious, this person and who ever hired him should be kicked out immediately. In the good old golden days it was easier to become an actor or singer on PTV but harder to get selected as news casters. We had such great news casters in those days, with excellent command on Urdu and English with proper pronunciation.

Now with over 100 channels, any self loathing screaming maniac can become a news anchor to break our ear drums repeating the same fucking sentence over an dover and over again.
