I totally agree with your post. This is how real soldiers are. They follow what's best for their motherland. Not what's best for their personal interest or interests of a group or team they are friends with.

Gen. Raheel and NS's partnership will be written in the history as a milestone which has resulted in creating a new Pakistan that far exceeds from the Pakistan everyone knew for the past 70 years. This guy is hands down the best of the best Pakistani Army could ever find. I hope more future general follow his footsteps and stand for honor, respect and the country.

I would disagree with you on this. Before criticising General Kayani, you need to remember the difficult environment in which he acted upon as COAS. He worked in an environment where army image was already tarnished due to long martial law. He restored the army image, kept army away from political affairs and supported the democratic setup to take root in the country. He was the one who was dealing with the corrupt elites likes of zardari and Rehman Malik. Further more, there was no political and public consensus on WOT as we are seeing it today and going into NW without public consensus would have been disaster not only for army institution but for country as well. General Kayani deserved the credit for ensuring the political setup to take its roots and passed the power transition to the next political and military leadership to take the bold decisions. Preparation for military operation in NW was already done under General Kayani and General Raheel has implemented the plan successfully. Both Generals acted professionally as per their situation and deserved the credit for serving the country with honesty.
