I think death toll would be in 10s of thousand after israel responds, in the coming weeks.

No one is untouchable, but this attack has destroyed any chance of a peaceful resolution.

I still distinctly remember, a few days after 9/11, the American channels were showing how a few Palestinians were cheering the attack on 9/11. As watching the tv in a restaurant, a WASP (White Anglo Saxon Protestant) friend of mine said in something like 'Well, can you blame them? We have been funding the violence against them for decades by supporting the Israelis'. BTW, this guy is also an Ordained Minister--enough to officiate marriages--one of them I attended myself.

There is no effect without a cause: Israelis are reaping for their actions and I AM CERTAIN going to reap even worse in coming years. Their arrogance and sense of civilizational and racial superiority, while living in a sea of Arabs/Muslims/Brown/Black people, is a huge obstacle to their own survival, nukes or America notwithstanding. Personally, I think Israel will decide a better strategy is to simply put a stricter blockade on Gaza rather than a ground invasion while continuing air bombardments.

I don't see a ground invasion by IDF but rather utter devastation from air.

Am sure most of us, with no dog in this race can only watch and wonder.

May the Almighty give peace to those who lost their lives and loved ones so far, and against hope may no more lose their lives (which I clearly doubt but pray for). Geo politics is so cruel, am not going to check this thread till tomorrow or maybe for sometime at least.
