Achievements :
OPERATION "SPRING CLEANING":
In February 2010, on the authorization of Federal Government, Operation “Spring Cleaning” was carried out in the areas of FR Kohat, FR Peshawar, Kohat, Peshawar and Nowshera to consolidate the writ of the Government. As a result of the operation, 43 miscreants were killed and a large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered.
OPERATION "KALA DHAKA":
In April 2010, on the authorization of Federal Government, Operation Kala Dhaka, code named “Pa Lar Tag Pa Bar Tag Pa Ghar Tag” was conducted by FC to cleanse the area from the presence of miscreants. The operation was completed successfully with Kala Dhaka now being a settled District of KP.
FC SINDH:
Around 60 FC platoons are serving all over Sindh, especially in Karachi, Hyderabad and
Sukkar. The achievements of FC Sindh are described below:-
- In 2009, riots in Hyderabad prison were effectively controlled by FC personnel
- In 2010, seven FC jawans embraced martyrdom in a suicide attack on CID Police Station
- During the devastating floods of 2011, FC personnel performed their duties steadfastly helping the Army & Police in relief and law order duties
- In 2011, riots in Sukkur prison were successfully controlled by FC personnel in collaboration with the prison department
- FC personnel served gallantly during the Lyari operations in the year 2012
- In September 2012, three target killers along with weapons, in jurisdiction of Police Station Baghdadi were arrested
- Services of FC troops are provided to MNCs for security duty.
FC SWAT:
FC Platoons deployed in Swat are performing their duties in coordination with both the Police & the Pakistan Army. The achievements of FC Swat are highlighted below:-
- 193 Platoons have been deployed from time to time since 2007
- 50 FC personnel have embraced martyrdom in Swat
- In April 2009, FC platoons stationed at Mingora Police Station exploded a car laden with 500 Kg of explosives after it didn’t stop at the signal of security forces.
- On 23rd May, 2009 FC personnel deployed at Shamozai bridge with Pakistan Army and Police signaled a car to stop, but the driver ignored it. The FC sentry fired at the car and it exploded. During the investigation it transpired that the car was loaded with 100 Kg of explosives.
- On 29th January, 2010 FC personnel recovered 2 suicide jackets, 23 Hand Grenades, 1 HMG,12 detonators, 40 RPG shells & 2 batteries
