Free India would have fragmented without Gandhi: British historian

Look at Jinnah's personality: 3 piece suits, no false religiosity, no concept of 5 time prayers, Rolls Royce car, fine wines, honest to the core, truthful, model of self respect, Top notch attorney.

Look at Mullees and Ayatulles who opposed Jinnah: Big beardos, Na shakal na akal, false religiosity, no one trusted them with a takka, 5 time prayers, Islamo fascism galore.

Jinnah - Stood for Pakistan

Mullees and Ayatulles declared Jinnah Kafir, and Pakistan the idea from hell.

If you think Jinnah wanted Islamistan with law based on Islamofascism, how come Mullee Mawdoodee and every other beardo was against Jinnah?

Huh?

Tell us please.

These Mullees were worried that people will become forward looking, educated, bright and modern like Jinnah in the country called Pakistan.

So whatever logic you have buried in your head needs to be examined a bit. Otherwise you will keep on stinking up the forums with terms like Sheku-larims that you have no idea about.

peace to you my dear peace to you. Stick with fashion shows and namaz please. Pak history is not your forte.

Wow looks like you are on the way to have a bounty placed on your head by some fire breathing Mullah. :D

lol at FaujHistorian.

Hes nothing but a traitor.

Anyone demanding a "Secular" Pakistan is a traitor.

There were many Islamists who supported Pakistan such as Chaudhry Niaz Ali Khan, Chaudhry Rehmat Ali, Allama Iqbal.

There are others. Muhammad Asad or Leopold Weiss.

The article makes a different point. Gandhi was the unifying factor & even in his death, he achieved the purpose of stopping most post partition killing. Patel died in 1950, would not really have made that much of a difference, unlike Nehru who lived for some 17 years after independence thereby putting India on a completely different course from Pakistan.

Fact is at the time of Independence, Congress had leaders who are modest and ready to do good for the Independent India. They are the ones who took police beatings and spent days in Jail. Unlike Pakistani Fuedals who feel they are Nawabs and messed up Pakistan with their own policies after Jinnah's death.

The fact that Congress has modest and secular Base of leaders who were brought up in secular and patriotic environment helped India after Independence. They are expecting Independence as soon as second world war began and planned accordingly. Nehru was an out standing visionary no doubt in that but the culture of the congress helped him to implement his policies.

Gandhi is Real Father of Pakistan responsible for fragmentation of India.....:coffee:

Actually Nehru is the real father of Pakistan.

If he was not such a stubborn socialist, then British India could have been one unit.
But he could not see past his nose and thus we got Pakistan.
Personally I am glad for this since it is always better to have your own country.

.
Except Netaji Subash and Jinnah, all the others named were British poodle / chamacha led by MK Gandhi.

Hes nothing but a traitor.

Anyone demanding a "Secular" Pakistan is a traitor.

Why?

Anyway, Bhairava is right. The person responsible for united India was Sardar Patel.

Gandhi played a good role in moving the masses as one unit, getting the british out and he definitely helped create the idea of a united India transcending religious boundaries, but to actually achieve a united India was a totally different ball game, with each group calling for their freedom. The guy that smashed all of those protests and created an Indian Union was Sardar Patel.

.
Without Gandhi , Indians would have taken plan B of Bose to fight against British but never had fragranted for sure .

.
Then who is the father of India ? godse?

Actually no one is the Father of India. Gandhiji called the Father of India is like people saying Hindi is the national language.

And as for Godse, he was a man in grey. Not black, not white. Stop repeating the same propaganda that potrays him as evil incarnate. Gandhiji's attitude towards Hindus post independence was nothing to write home about.
