Foxbat over Pakistan the facts & fiction

Windy, which SAMs did you guys have in 1997? I'll tell you:

Crotale : Flight ceiling VT-1: 6,000 m, Mk3: 9,000 m

The rest were just MANPADS and AA guns. Needless to say, none could reach an altitude of 70,000 ft!

So your contention that your VAs/VPs were well protected by SAMs etc is incorrect. You had nothing in your inventory which could even come close to a Foxbat. :azn:
I expected you to be a bit more knowledgeable than that dude,
Please check when did the Chinese HQ-2 just to name one entered Pakistani service. :)

Yes yes dear, but does PAF have the F14? or even the viper with BVR in 1990s?
We had Vipers, which proved successful against F-14s.
And with Vipers came AiM-9s with a peak range of 30+ kms.
BVRAAMs were never even in question.

It flew over ISLAMABAD ; Your CAPITAL ; made a lot of NOISE ie did a sonic BOOM

Took Photographs of all Vital installations and went back

Islamabad is 50 KM inside Pakistan
Read the question which I replied to.

We didnt need a fly by afterwards coz we got spy satellites.
Now we can watch ur country whenever we want. Cant do shit about it, can u?
I know you're frustrated.
Went it out at someone at home.

Then why are the installations still standing.
And may I ask why was never another flight carried out?
Why bother shifting to satellites when MiG-25s flew unchallenged?.

.
Only Windjammer can do that

The F 16 A / B in 1997 just had an AIM 9 Sidewinder missile and a poor radar
It had APG-66 radar, and back then even the first generation F-16s were better than anything you could field.
Just their presence in the air was enough to make the Foxbat turn tail and head home.
Do you think, Pakistan which back then hadn't even tested it's nuclear weapons would leave it'self so exposed that of all the others it would let IAF fly unchallenged.....in fact it was hoping to lure the IAF to fry the Foxbat but it was lucky on your side that the IAF never felt adventurous much beyond the borders.....and the FM statement was to draw some attention for particular reasons.
