we have no option but to use coal as its the cheapest form of energy and we have vast reserves.

However I disagree that we should totally let go of environmental concerns.we should not blindly go and ignore the legitimate environmental concerns. We must recognise that not all concerns raised by these NGOs are bogus - 10-15% are genuine and govt will take them into account
