Yasin's new jet has three external locations under the wing and fuselage to carry bombs and an external fuel tank. In this way, the Yasin aircraft will be able to use all types of weapons with optical guidance, thermal and other weapons that do not require radar and laser guidance in close air support missions.

J-10 refused from China beside its A variant which is obsolete compared to J-10C
JF-17 Pakistan puts itself at risk of massive sanctions from USA for selling fighters to Iran
F-15 just impossible, USA is not going to sell F-15 or technology to Iran, so its more about already existing F-14s

Iran focused on F-5 light fighter model type of fighter, Yasin is there to train pilots to F-5 and western jets in the inventory, Yak-130 for future Russian fighters, there is not RD33 or AL-31 technology for heavier fighter like China did to create its own engine for its J-11/15/16/JF-17

So for the short term its just hoping that Russia delivers Su-30s and Su-35s

Iran is role model for those nations who refuse to be slaves. They may not have made progress on their airforce but their Navy, missiles etc are spot on. I was surprised at their hypersonic missile tests, SAMS and induction of new 1500T frigates. For Iranian airforce Jf17 block 3s or J10Cs are a must.

how can iran as a nation sanctioned by everyone can easily build and operate such advanced aircraft when india who only assemble importer parts cant even finish TEJAS project for decades ? is this the indian culture of laziness ? lax of QC ? lack of qualified people ? I cant fathom indian manufacturers took decades just to assemble parts imported from various country.. and they have gall and shamelessness to claim TEJAS is make in india.

Not really.Iran is ruled by a theocratic regime which came into power by revolution.And historically revolutions never survive for very long b/c they empower only certain segment of society.there are massive protests in Iran in every decade and everytime their intensity sets new records.
