There were various empires that claimed Muslim lineage. But essentially all were. There was No Islamic empire as such but the caliphate always existed. Regardless of whether Mughals ruled India or the Mysore dynasty.. or Indonesian rule.. the Caliphate was around from the first days of the empire and while it shifted around.. it was always recognized as an entity.

Even in its dying days the Caliphate had its influence on the affairs of various Muslim rulers throughout the world. And not just Muslim rulers, but generally any sphere of influence recognized it.

What is pertinent to the discussion regarding Pakistan and its existence before 47, is that Muslims considered the Caliphate as their final allegiance sans any actual weight to it ;other than some sort of common spiritual link and a "pan-Islamic" link to say the Caliphate was able to account certain Muslim rulers for their actions.

So you personally believe caliphate existed till ottomans ?

you don't even believe in Vedas if they go against your beliefs (not too different from Islamists aka ISIS and Qaida's selective reading of Quran). looks like it.

Or just the general reading of quran or vedas . Selective amnesia and biases .

aliens came and took it to the past

Its funny how they like to claim everything that belongs to us. The IVC's 'religion' was inspired from Sumerian myths.

Yet both sites were present during the bronze age period. Having Buddha statues excavated from Pakistan proves that Hinduism was never mainstream in our lands. The IVC's religious beliefs too were inspired by Sumerian and even Babylonian myths as both civilizations traded with each other.

So you personally believe caliphate existed till ottomans ?

Yes and we will re-establish it in some form again.

Yes I do. The caliphate in its ideal at least did.
One can argue that the Caliphate essentially ended with the martyrdom of Imam Hussain but the system. continued to exist(although slowly unravelling) till the British abolished it.

It's all about opinion . I respect yours .

Cherokee bhai,

perhaps there is an issue of perception on both sides.

Granted that Rig Veda mentions Indus river 30 times while Ganga only twice.

But later vedic literature speaks of northern Punjab, Sindh and eastern Rajasthan as the land of Malechas. And guess what, all these areas are part of Indus valley.

So the bottom line is simple!, there were no large scale population of Hindus in Indus Valley compared to Ganga Valley.

Ganga Valley for Hinduism

Indus valley for those who did not follow Hinduism. hence no mega-mundir on Indus river system. just the small ones.

peace

You remove the name historian. Gandhara, Madra, Kekeya, Sauvira and Sindhu were the major Hindu kingdoms from the region that makes Pakistan today. So, better don't whitewash history to suit your narrative. Indo-Gangetic term is used a combined term of Indus and Ganges.

Wow wow wow - the Buddha statues we have excavated must have been placed there by some jin bhoots.

That belong to Indo-Greek peroid after the end of Maurya from 1st and 2nd century BC.

But there was no such thing as Pakistan at the time of the First World War!

Muhajir detected.

Jinnah was a Gujarati from Gondal in Gujarat and it he don't become a Sindhi in single generation and you also know lot many Muslims from United Provinces and Bengal were associated with Pakistan movement. So, Pakistan as a state was created on Muslim identity, not on some regional identity of North-West. Iqbal wrote poems in praise of India/Hind.

Jinnah was Lohana/Bhatia who are Sindhi origin people in Gujarat.

... So, better don't whitewash history .....

offcourse no one should whtiewash history.

But do not "BROWN-wash" it either.

Thank you

p.s. Please focus on the thread. We should discuss WW-1.

The so called native Pakistanis also became Pakistanis along with the people across India who fought for it. The Natives deserve no special treatment in this regard.

If someone migrates to Pakistan he has to be respectful towards the native Pakistanis and he has to adapt the languages and cultures.
Native Pakistanis are Pakistanis by race and birth.
Immigrants like the Muhajirs migrated to Pakistan and became Pakistanis by migration. If you look at the passport of the first generation of Muhajirs it clearly says by migration and not birth.

Now you are claiming Buddhism pre-date Hinduism. ....

nahin yaar.

Hinduism never got accepted in large numbers by the tribes living up and down INdus river

They rejected Brahmin mafia just like they rejected old Arab style Islam (Arabs showed up much later off course). They were too damn proud of their local traditions.

Buddhism was the first established religion that made inroads. And you know why? Right?

read the literature of Indus valley for the past 1000 years and you will understand.
