educating people will span a whole generation around 60+ years and it should be started immediately .
just imagine the schools the government could build on 68 bn rupees rather than building a metro in Peshawar.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan would send a human to space for the first time in 2022 with China's help, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced Thursday, ahead of Prime Minister Imran Khan's maiden visit to Beijing. Pakistan's first space mission has been planned for 2022 and the federal Cabinet meeting chaired by Khan approved the plan on Thursday, he was quoted as saying by The News.

An agreement between Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) and a Chinese company has already been signed, the minister said.

Earlier this year, Pakistan launched two indigenously built satellites into orbit, using a Chinese launch vehicle.

Prime Minister Khan is embarking on his first visit to China on November 3 and will hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang, Geo News quoted the Foreign Office as saying.

Today it's become bit of a legend how Pakistan was doing so well in 1960s and how other developing countries like South Koreans would send teams to see how great Pakistan was doing. This is actually true because Pakistan along with South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Turkey, Iraq etc were under US umbrella and being developed by Washington to showcase how Washington helped it's friends in contrast to Soviet Union and it's satellites like North Korea, Cuba, Angola, Vietnam etc.

Unfortunately for Pakistan our relationship ruptured and we went astray from Washington which meant by 1970s Pakistan was very much on it's own. South Korea, Turkey, Taiwan kept firmly attached to USA through the decades and leveraged having a superpower to the point where today all three countries are wealthy and developed.

Now that we have another opportunity with China lesson for us not to muck it up. Heads down and just get the most out of China. Only one goal. Develop by gaining maximum advantage from China. Do not please fcukin piss on the helping hand of China by croaking on about Uighurs or Rohingya etc

Superpowers and that includes China do not appreciate being pissed on ....

In the 70s we ended up with a feudal and ideologicaly socialist (the irony i know) in power who significantly ruined US-Pak relations. Socialism being the antithesis of US capitalism, this was never going to end well. With athiest China the equivalent would be an ultra religious person coming to power in Islamabad.

This makes me really happy. We're a little late in this field but we could catch up. Ironically Pakistan was the first country in this part of the world to have a Space Agency.
Finally we've people in the Government who are thinking about the long term future and not just about the next election.
Space is the future people like it or not. Future weapons will be based in space and the Asteroid Mining Industry will be one of the most lucrative businesses.

And this Space program is really inspiring for the younger generation, we used to look up to NASA and now it's SPACEX. I hope our future generations have Pakistani Astronauts to look up to and an awesome Pakistani space agency.
