happy Wet dream...super powers can not conquer Afghanistan let alone a third world country like pakistan. Establish your writ on your FATA first then dream about conquering afghanistan.
We don't need to conquer afghans have residency cards and citizenship in Pakistan already and they do normal business in other provinces of Pakistan, and many have families across border etc
The recommended force is maintain things
Cost 40,000 Troops
a) 10,000 Troops in Northern Areas
b) 10,000 Troops in South Areas
e) 10,000 Troops in West Areas
f) 10,000 Troops in East Areas
(Note there might be 1300-1400 rouge Taliban wandering around foot it's not that bad on donkeys or on foot)
- 3 Squadrons oaf Mirage, could be based on the main airport in Kabul etc or other airbases, Pakistan air force can assume control on that airport
2 Squadron of Bell Helicopters, Air support for ground troops, rescue or support role
200 APC, not needed but nice to have in key areas & Checkposts
100 Tanks
10,000 Police Force units
a) 5,000 officers for Kabul
b) 5,000 would work with Soldiers for protection of schools etc or civilian areas
- Pakistani UAV , would monitor the mountains for intrusions etc
80% of Afghan's already have some sort of residential ties with Pakistan, and that is the truth
and many visit across border and do trade on daily basis
The advantage is social , economic and common sense.
Other benefits include
a) Curb on Narcotics (Hopefully farming crops that feed people would be introduced)
b) Fill in the void with Trained force , and established democracy
c) And easier traveling for for residents of Afghania province to other provinces etc
d) Induct Afghan residents in Pakistan forces to help protect Afghania province in future
e) Future gas pipe line going thru economic benefits of course
Good for both side of border and our military can also openly enter and chase down any TTP or warlords , and demilitarize the area completely as they would not have a place to run can't come into Pakistan has borders are blocked , and can't hide in Afghanistan etc
