Far from bolstering generosity, a religious upbringing diminishes it

give away some of his ten stickers to a random schoolmate who would not otherwise be able to take part. The child was then given a few minutes to decide whether he wanted to give up some of his stickers—and, if so, how many

My observation still remains the same, children of this age group mostly tend to be selfish and possessive, giving them the freedom if they want to they can would mean "Okay pappu is my best friend I can give him one of my sticker, guddu does not share sharpener with me so no sticker for him, paari is so mean sometimes so no sticker for her, rani is so innocent and cute one sticker for her, choochi does not play fair so I won't give him any stickers, ramdeen is so intelligent helps me solve my problems three for him, I will need him to do my homework" etc etc etc.

In this age group religious beliefs have hardly hardened, children of this age group would most probably won't think about rewards in life here after for sharing things.

Your observation, correct as it may be, is merely an empirical anecdote as opposed to a rigorous scientific study presented by the authors.

So when I observe something in practical life its just an observation and a story but when the same thing is observed by some science people it becomes a scientific study. :D

Human behavior is best explained by experiencing it and observing it, I don't believe it needs some rigorous scientific study to explain it. Anyways I don't find this study on very young school kids acceptable. My suggestion conduct a study on pope or mufti e azam of Pakistan and Edhi that will be more realistic than this scientific study.

Sir, when you can publish your observation in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, it becomes a scientific study, but not before. Please go ahead and publish what you have observed in this regard so that others may benefit from your insight into the topic at hand.

Sir you must be aware how consultants make their money, they count your goats for you which you already know how many are there. Studying people attitude and behavior well scientists may argue its science but for a layman like me its common sense which does not need publications. And behavior of people including children may not remain same.

This is the original paper from Current Biology, and all of the authors are academicians, not consultants:
