Famous Indian guru "Sadhguru" Jaggi Vasudev dispersing "knowledge" about the ancient world

Being a guru in the 21st Century is like being an independent business consultant / LinkedIn influencer type. One has to play it strategically. The lighter stuff like recycled philosophy brings in the religio-neutral audience. The Atlantis type fantasies bring in the supremacist kind or even the curious type who is wondering what is this shit all about. Its all about building your portfolio.

Of course there could be specialists who are rabidly communal and have a limited but fiercely loyal audience. Those are niche players. There is room for everybody.

For all his advanced age compared to me, I being on PDF for just a few years have developed, or rather evolved, theories for how to enable the purpose of life so as to live in harmony with each other, with the ecosystem, progress technologically and explore the universe :

Has "Sadhguru" done anything remotely similar ? :)

I don't know. We would know if @Sainthood 101 provides us with the name of the old man.

What an idiot ! Of course no one should listen to his advise !

1. He could be very well lying so no one should harm themselves by sleeping everyday for 2.5 hours. Even cats who are famous for cat naps sleep for long hours if they feel safe in their surroundings.

2. Now, taking his claim as truth, what brilliance has he produced in the last 25 years ? Any technology ? Any political revolution ? Anything at all ?

3. "Sadhguru" always goes into pseudo-philosophical ravings.

Lastly, his comrade, Bulldozer Baba Yogi Adityanath, also claims to sleep for four hours, at least claimed by his adoring media propagandists among the Godi Media. Watch this funny vid of Yogi baba's opponent Akhilesh of the Samajwadi Party make fun of that claim.

This kind of thread really makes me angry, seriously angry, both at those who started it, and those who participate in it.

First, the old moron twit talking to the younger twit is Rajiv Malhotra, a right piece of work.

He made a lot of money in technology, and now goes around religiosating (sorry, couldn't find another word and am feeling too mad to think).

Rajiv Malhotra (born 15 September 1950)* is an India born American Hindutva activist, author[2] and founder of Infinity Foundation,[3] which focuses on Indic studies,[note 1] and also funds projects such as Columbia University's project to translate the Tibetan Buddhist Tengyur.[4]
* Check the dates of another prominent ape. That was a bad year.

Apart from the foundation, Malhotra promotes a Hindutva[5] view on Indic cultures. Malhotra has written prolifically in opposition to the western academic study of Indian culture and society, which he maintains denigrates the tradition and undermines the interests of India "by encouraging the paradigms that oppose its unity and integrity"

I tried to engage @Nilgiri when he was still a member on this forum to discuss the phantasmagoric interview in two parts that this porridge-brain did with that other pudding-brain, Gurumurthy. It has to be reported that Nilgiri has a very well-developed sense of self-preservation. He walked away and has never been seen (on this forum) since.

🤮🤮🤮

Well, I was the miscreant who started the thread. I was in a mood. Sorry. :)

Right. Though I had read his name and "work" I didn't know him by face. Some days ago I watched a vid of him sitting in a British college I think and lecturing so I then came to know of him fully. As you said, a right piece of work.

Ah.

Religiosating. Hmm, nice word. Will use it if you will write what "sating" refers to.

I thought he was spiritual guru not engineer. Can you time stamp and transcribe where he claimed technology?

BTW his take on formal education is similar to yours. He was saying, "If everyone becomes topper, who will become clerk?"
