joking aside, where did the IVC people actually migrate to? current theories I heard of are South India or gangetic plain.

I don't think the people of those regions resemble the IVC people nor is the IVC's architectural planning anything like in South India or the Ganga plain. The latter has not much sophistication and the temple architecture of the former is too chaotic. Also, there seems to be no cultural carryover into those two regions from the IVC, taking into consideration of course that not many cultural elements of the IVC are known.

Maybe the IVC just died away or was killed en masse.

On the contrary, years ago I had read that IVC people were from the Iraq region, possibly Kurds, but the facial reconstructions show something else. Maybe the IVC people were inspired by Iraqi culture. The below IVC sculpture looks to me West Asian :

You can but that doesn't mean anything. It doesn't prove that north indians and Pakistani Punjabis are the same race. IF they are as per your claims, can you post the link to the evidence that conclusively proves this?
