Facebook apologises, says removal of Hamza Ali Abbasi status was mistake

Yea a popular date site for flirt and tracing partners:wink: can't challenge your claim. Btw what you like in FB?

As always, what we do is more revealing than what we claim.

I have couple of question to ask to all the offended Pakistanis Muslims - You folks look down upon all the other religions and Hinduism in particular. I have seen a load of Pakistanis making offensive posts on Hindu gods/goddess here in pdf and other social media platforms. There was a Muslim painter who drew nude pictures of Hindu goddesses. Hindu god/goddess pics were drawn on slippers or under garments.

My questions now -

1) If you get so deeply hurt when someone make fun of your religion, why do you do so to begin with? And please don't deny that you do not insult other religions or look down upon them.
2) Did you see any Hindu go ballistic/on killing spree for the acts of these nutcases/attention seekers? Mostly you would see a protest by a Hindu organization and if it is an online post many will report it and that's it but a large populace will simply ignore them and that's it the story dies there.

Moral :
The more attention you give to the attention seekers, the more they will come after you.

The way I see it hes saying in so many words 'We condemn this act of barbarity which is unjust, misguided and completely unsanctioned by Islam but at the same time if we're going to call a spade a spade we should also say that this duplicity, this lack of sensitivity and at times borderline libel is contributing to the problem' !

If highlighting the problem while underlining the probable consequences of what could go wrong is 'threatening' or 'giving in to terrorists' might we also believe that every time someone highlights the social and economic issues or the absence of justice as contributing factors to an insurgency in insurgency hit areas, is in fact a threat to 'change your ways or someone will go ballistic and kill unjustly' ?

and what is was the problem in this case? Publishing the cartoons?
While it may have hurt someone. But it is no reason not to publish such cartoons again and it is no reason to kill someone either. Some people cannot take things lightly, but does not mean the whole world should be afraid of them.

He just asked not to derail the emotional sentiments of Muslims by publishing such cartoons...he said that it hurts every Muslim but MURDER IS STILL PROHIBITED meaning he oppose every of such actions.... Can you take a good note out of everything he said?

I am happy he says, Murder is still prohibited.

I have problem with his solution. He says its better to take precautions and not write/speak anything which can hurt some terrorists or Islamic radicals. That's not acceptable.

So what is the break up of these 2 billion muslims? Countrywise I mean...

Also, as per the high moral standards of Islam, muslims should set an example for the west to follow by respecting other religions. Now don't say ''we don't mock other prophets'' because thats only respecting your own religion. For example, I've on hundreds of times seen muslims on this very website use offensive language against hindu beliefs, cows, ganesha in particular. They don't get banned. But i were to say anything against your prophet, i'll be banned straightaway. Or the admin here has called hinduism ''mythical'' etc many times or used worde like ''brahmin scum'' etc, but anyone making fun of mythical flying angels and all hell breaks loose.

Add to that such barbaric practices like murder becase your tender feeling got hurt... sheesh!!!

No it isn't any reason to kill someone and I believe the author under question said that categorically.

The way I see it; society decides that certain things are utterly unacceptable to them and they will not allow it. That they would rather have a paradoxical definition of 'Free Speech' which is 'Free' and yet 'Hindered' than to allow those unacceptable things to be said.

For many questioning the narrative about the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, passing a homophobic, anti-semetic or racist comment etc. is not acceptable whereas for others some other things are not unacceptable; its just a question about social acceptability and unacceptability not these pious sentiments about 'right and wrong' !

really? this bozo says unless you west do something, one of his 2b muslims will go ballistic and kill - sounds exactly like what a jihadi nut such as osama zawahiri say. And you guys don't thing he did anything wrong?

THAT shows what is really wrong. Are threats now mainstream accepted amongst you?

So we should accept derision of our religion, invasion of our countries as this is coming from your West?

Its amazing hypocricy that West can invade occupy any country to force its secular religion and values but Muslims cant defend their faith.

He was not presenting a solution. He was, saying that attacking anybody is wrong, but at the same time, there could be people who believe in fighting for their rights. And he is not attacking any speech against Islam. He's merely saying that Facebook should be allowed to criticize. Irrespective of their religion as well as the subject of criticism.

Fully agree with you. People have different sensibilities. Different people dislike different things.

But you go ahead and write whatever you like about Armenian Genocide or about Anti-Sementic or about any race. Does not give anyone right to go and kill Pakistanis.

Learn to accept and have the patience to understand that people can/will write about things you don't like. You too can write whatever you like about others. Go ahead and do speak.write what you feel about, I am sure some people may not like it. But they have to accept your view. Can feel butt hurt but cannot use violence, which is totally unjustified.

You do realize that the author has categorically stated that 'no one has the right to go and kill an individual' or did you happen to miss that bit ?

I acknowledge that.

I was incensed by his last line where he recommends the solution.

He says the west/people/world should change their ways, so that such incidents like Paris don't happen (Unjust killings).
I am against this viewpoint. The world cannot be held hostage by few terrorists. Instead I would have supported him if he had said to the terrorists to go **** themselves.
