This desperation of Pakistan for mere 8 F 16's make me think about the quality of JF17s.

F-16 is currently frontline fighter jet of PAF while JFT is its work horse jet.

PAF should push delivery of AIM-9X block-2 missile under WoT umbrella because those missiles can also hit ground targets now.

Yes, Pakistan complains about US weapon sales to India all the time, harping on the fact that such sales will cause an imbalance in the region. Not that US listens to Pakistan either, selling India billions in military equipment. And unlike Pakistan, they don't rely on "charity" on getting them. Who do you think US prefers to do business with?

In essence, Pakistan wants parity with India when it comes to US. It just burns Pakistan to no end that this is not so. From military sales to civil nuclear agreements to Kashmir, US is more apt to listen to India.

As for India complaining about F-16 sale, this is all par for the diplomatic course. The difference here is that India complains much more loudly than Pakistan.

SU30 MKI are heavy and air dominance fighters. On the other hand, Rafale are medium fighters, are replacements for Mig21 and are multi role fighters

JF17 is light weight and F16 is medium+ weight fighter

As I said before, MKI and Rafale are different types of fighter are not replacement for each other. On the other hand F16 and JF 17 are similar type of fighters and play similar type of roles

F-16 is a MEDIUM category fighter with weapon loading capacity way more than JF-17 which is a LIGHT category fighter.
