The Low Serviceability of Su-30 Mki is Myth Out 215 MKI Only 40 are in Been Grounded Because of Over haul As Most of them are Out For Engines Live Cycles
We operate 215 MKI Heavy Class Fighters for almost 17 years Now
the Serviceability Is Increased to 70 % By this Year End After Overhauling And We are Adding 16 MKI Every Year to this numbers

he IAF's frontline combat jets have faced serviceability issues, specially after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, as many companies making spare parts separated from Russia.

"With concentrated efforts, we have been able to increase the serviceability of the Sukhois by about seven per cent over the last eight-nine months. So, that is an achievement," Parrikar informed the Rajya Sabha as members raised questions on the availability of spare parts.

The minister said by the end of the year, the serviceability will improve by 70 percent.

"We have improved the serviceability by seven per cent, almost from 49-50 to 56-57 per cent, we intend to get it 70 per cent by year end," he said.

actually its 115 and we have 45 out standing. we are looking at 48 f35b and 100+ f35a so im not worried but you should be. the enhanced typhoon with tv will have the mki and the su35. but i dont think you can't afford it at £100 million

there are a few sq leaders hinting it out to support/replace the typhoon but thats after 2020. but i know it's in the works. even the mod is talking abou how good the f35 is.

When other country which is manufacturing 100% just by reverse engineering
Except mirage 2000 all other are junk in the war when hardly 50% will be able to participate .
When enemy will be able to see the big a$$ tanker from 300 miles with their awacs .
And no matter how many upgrade you do to the old junk it will be still be junk.

i cant help but laugh at what you wrote.

what you say is true for development. but it comes together at karama. also the radar is also built a karama along with some avionics and sensors.

the lca i mostly indian built but with Russian help and american engines.

the mki is mostly russain except for some parts which are isreali but made in india.

besides what are the Italians good for? only helicopters. and using a Russian designed trainer jet to sell abroad to countries such as Israel, Singapore and poland. shut up and eat your pasta troll

83 % percent of the AL 31FP engines are manufactured at a facility at 100 km distance from my home ,at HAL Koraput division...

Ever heard of the recent Su 30SM fighter ?? It is the Russian version of Su 30MKI
And fyi Su 30mki was tailor made for IAF ,as it was the first operational thrust vectored engine fighter in the world.

LCA has major contribution from Dasault besides US engine, Russian subsystems and Israeli support in avionics.
