But I agree that the ISI like any other spy agency, would do what it needs to do for the country's national interest rather than America's in Afghanistan. Or they're not worth their salt!

Micheal Scheuer is well respected for a reason. He doesn't sugar coat his words, and tells it like it is. The fact that he's ex-CIA gives him even more credibility, because he has a lot of knowledge and experience of the goings on of the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

You guys are all ga-ga at Micheal Scheuer whom you call a 'well respected for a reason'. And that reason is his buttering up Pakistan for reasons best known to him. But you guys love him and why not? He's one guy in a billion who's said something that makes you feel snug and happy.

Now there's an equally or better authority on the subject - Bruce Riedel, Senior Fellow, Foreign Policy. America's leading expert on U.S. security, South Asia, and counter terrorism. He is currently a senior fellow at the Brookings Indstitution, and a professor at John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He also serves as a senior adviser at Albright Stonebridge Group. Bruce, a former (CIA) analyst and counter-terrorism expert, served in the Agency for 29 years.

Now why am I bringing him up? Because you guys don't wait even a second to trash and lambaste him for his analyses on the situation in Pakistan. Why? Because he speaks the truth which goes against your grain. How dare he speaks against Pakistan? Almost every Pakistani poster has ridiculed him out here. No prizes for guessing why.

Isn't that hypocrisy of the highest order? Yes! Because you guys can't accept genuine criticism. Like Pakistan, the Land that can do no wrong. Here, check out what Riedel has to say about Pakistan...

Now in response to this, I do expect an avalanche of criticism and Riedel bashing ahead. Carry on! But the truth is out there, and no one can change it!

Bhai! the likes of Bruce had an upper hand for a while. Then Americans realized it didn't work even after spending trillions in Afghanistan.

much better post than your earlier poetry. what you have shown is an alternate view which you are touting as "genuine criticism" of Pakistan. in case you listen to American radio and TV then you will see that similar "genuine critics" is aimed mainly at the present and previous administration and their warmongering officials and the choice of words used by Americans is very interesting now these people are with same or far better credentials than this chap you have shown.
Americans are simply fed up with being lied to and being thrown into war after war by their governments. and they have gone past your Pakistan obsession as well. they now don't even care to know if OBL was really killed in the Abbotabad raid or not because both of their military adventures didnt go as planned. and instead of blaming the failures on other countries for your sake .... now they are suspecting their previous and present administration for lying and blaming them for the loss of American lives.

and the span of ISIS is much bigger concern now and no amount of imagination or "genuine criticism" (as you put it ) can put the blame on ISI over it.

if this " genuine criticism" had any meat on it then Pakistan and USA would have parted ways some time ago already.and criticism would have been replaced with proof had OBL been found being protected and manned by ISI personnel etc.


dont forget that this criticism is not a one way traffic though we also have our misgivings. this was a bitch of a war and yes it provided you a lot of entertainment.

but that didnt stop us from working together agency to agency but also at special ops level where we had American inbeds in our units conducting raids together in tribal areas while you guys were eating the "genuine shite" of Pakistanis harboring Osama.

oh by the way, please forgive me for busting some balls here. the proof was found indeed when Americans exposed their Afghan touts harboring Latif Ullah Mehsood and snatched him from the Afghan intelligence that has so much love for India that it risked utter decimation at the hands of the Americans but they left it at the humiliation of snatching the TTP guest from them in broad day light and guess what who helped Americans in pin pointing Latif Ullah Mehsood? yes it was ISI and as a thanks.... Americans took out the leader of a proxy who is fighting someone's else war against Pakistan .. that someone who has the largest number of "conciliates" than any other country in Afghanistan.
