Enough with the racism against Bengalis on Fake Genocide Remembrance Day

I can for a fact confirm this. My grandfather was one of the soldiers that fought in the 1971 war and he told me near identical accounts as you've mentioned. He even told us of seeing a man (percieved as west Pakistani) being skinned alive right infront of their eyes by Mukti supporters and more.

Perhaps this is why i find it hard to sympathise or like Bangladeshis, even though they are muslims. Then they ask us to repeatedly apologize for a genocide they had a equal if not more part in. Any military fights to keep its territory under control, what's their excuse for going rabid onto West Pakistani civillians ?

The PA did NOT commit war crimes against bangladeshi civilians. In fact bangladeshis were killing one another en-masse and the Pakistani Army tried to stop it but couldn't. IF the PA did commit war crimes, then india and bangladesh would have presented the evidence to the War Crimes tribunal in the Hague to punish Pakistan. They NEVER did. I wonder why?

Blatant racism against Bengalis continues even on Genocide Remembrance Day..As one of the few Bengalis on this forum, it hurts me to see what my people has to go through and cannot be more proud of the most successful Muslim majority country, most successful mono-ethnic country in the subcontinent

Even non-religious Germans show more sensitivity and contrition, yet self-declared proud Muslims continue with this sort of racism

Sad really

no Pakistani talks about unreal events. its indians who talk about such things . :)

I'm talking specifically about systematic institutionalised wholesale rape of a populace as a weapon of war.

Soldiers rape. Everyone knows that. In and after moments of hard fought battle triumph rape is an extension of war. Not sex.

Countries like Germany got over that. There was not one living German woman who escaped rape when Germany fell.

Nanking was different.

So was Dhaka.

Both were instruments of premeditated racial humiliation.

Firstly the nature of what happened in 71 is different depending on where one is based. From our point of view the mainstream view of what happened in 71 is a classic example of the victor deciding what is written down in history. For us what happened in 71 is a battle between enemies where atrocities were committed by both sides and this is corroborated by independent scholars like Bose. I fail to see us coming to any agreement over this so lets just agree to disagree.

However even in situations where racially motivated genocides have occurred in the past, there are ample examples of these nations subsequently adopting good ties. The Germans engaged in lebensraum policies in Eastern Europe but it would be a serious stretch to not say Warsaw and Berlin's relations today are good. The Italians Spazio Vitale policies similarly wanted to remove Slovenians from the Adriatic Coast and gradually create a new "Mare Nostrum". Mario Roatta and Mario Robotti, the two major figures behind this cleansing campaign never faced trial and died of old age. Ljublijana and Rome hardly have hostile relations today. Saddams attack on Ahwaz was partially motivated by Arab nationalism and the desire to drive Persians and other ethnic groups out of the region. The war proved a failure but hundreds of thousands if not millions died. Again Tehran and Baghdad have good relations today.

Ultimately it is Dhaka which will decide how it wishes to proceed with its foreign policy and if history is anything to go by then immediate threats draw former enemies together.

@Sheikh Rauf

India will not lose one square centimetre of soil.

Hindutva is here to stay.

No to Delhi Intifadas.
we will see that it happened many times before recently 1947... many more things will surprise you over and over again.

You're a cowardly spiteful creature,nothing more.
You can bark like this because you can hide behind the mods anchal.People like you disgust me.
You think only your family suffered? My own family suffered as well. But do you see me barking against Pakistan day and night? No.Instead I have preached for brotherhood & cooperation between both of our countries.
My own grandfather was an activist of the Pakistan movement during partition. Yet even he wasn't spared. He was tortured by the thugs masquerading as an professional army.
But thankfully, unlike you he didn't wait for an asteroid to get revenge. He joined the freedom fighters & fought against the oppressive thugs plaguing his country.

It's unfortunate that we allow these old topics to create division between us.
Your family suffered?
How ?
Details please.

You know and I know that women's izzat and rape are big issues on the subcontinent and wars and riots have started over it where hundreds and thousands have perished.

Muslim and Hindu women are regularly raped in riots. During partition. Both sides did it. Life moved on.

Dhaka was different. And I agree that we will not see eye to eye on it.

The hate these Bengalis had against any west Pakistani or poor Bihari was astronomical.
The amount of civilians they tortured raped and killed is still unaccounted and untold.
The air around Dhaka railway station used to smell like barbecue for months , and the smell was of burning people and not dead people.
These Bengalis used to stuff alive people in train engine boilers and light them up.
This was just one way of killing non Bengali population of East Pakistan.
There were even worse torturous ways they killed.
Geneva convention applies on uniformed soldiers and the are taught about it and trained accordingly.
Their Mukti Bahini were jobless, worthless, hungry and angry teenagers who had no training about Human rights , nobody to control them and no accountability.
They were fueled by extreme hate and that alone.
Things they did and kept on doing for years , can qualify for a sequel of horror movies.

We don't need your advice and tips
We very well aware of all things. You better buy new weapon and jets for target practice of PAF in future.
And breaking is not a big issue. Only one leader like Gen. Zia is needed with a junior Gen. Akhtar and the job will done.
You just put parsad in temples and keep praying , that we not get the right man on the top brass otherwise india will be a chapter of history.
As long as there is Islamist triumphalism on our North Western flank, India and Hindus will remain as one inspite of a billion inconveniences....

The only way to break India to four more manageable nations is for Pakistan to become an ethnicity first state rather than a religion first state...

There I gave you the ONLY Recipe on the planet to break India, now go ahead and try it

They look like Mohajir.

somehow this idiot thinks Mohajir is a bad word LOL

RSS Gau muttra curse back at you

Please check your facts before posting anything. There were 200k rape not 2 million. It is very much possible by Pakistani armies, others those who present there plus rajakar, Al Badr and Al Shams. Including all of them total number is close to 150k-200k. Together they were very much capable of raping and murder innocent civilians and what they have done. Regarding rape they not only rape innocent woman’s but they have taken many woman to army barrack where they have kept them as sex slave.

This is news report by NBC just after the war to describe the brutality. See it first hand instead of making up stories Indian soldiers were raping them and blaming it on the Pakistanis.

you believe what you believe, my message was for Pakistani readers.

Pakistan should never had recognised the fascist state of Bangladesh.

Alas it was another fascist in Bhutto who legitimized this abomination of a nation state called Bangladesh.
What would happened then. Would you have gone and captured it later?
