But since you have trouble remembering, allow me to refresh your selective memory-
BD governments since 1971 had been maintaining warm relations with Pakistan. It goes back Sheikh Mujib attending OIC summit in Lahore and Bhutto visiting Bangladesh in 1974. Pakistan even offered an apology to Bangladesh in 1974. Read the following-
"It added that Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto of Pakistan had “appealed to the people of Bangladesh to forgive and forget the mistakes of the past in order to promote reconciliation.”
“Similarly, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh [Sheik Mujibur Rahman had declared with regard to the atrocities and destruction committed in Bangladesh in 1971 that he wanted, the people to forget the past and to make a fresh start,” it said.
In the light of the comments by Pakistan, the agreement said, the Bangladesh Government “had decided not to proceed with the trials as an act of clemency.” It was agreed that the 195 prisoners of war could be repatriated to Pakistan along with the other prisoners.
...........Even the fact that Pakistan signed the agreement was seen as a form of apology. The agreement included a statement by Bangladesh that the 195 Pakistan prisoners committed “excesses and manifold crimes” as well as “war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.”

After Sheikh Mujib's death, the relations with Pakistan became even warmer with the successive Bangladesh governments. There were closer bonds between the militaries of both countries as well during this period. So, why would Bangladesh drag Pakistan to International courts?
What was there to gain for Bangladesh apart from ruining the relationship with Pakistan?
This is why even after the current allegedly "hostile" regime of Sheikh Hasina came to power, her focus was only on internal. She was trying to get rid of her political rivals with 1971 as the backdrop, not drag Pakistani officers in front of an international court. Her father had already issued clemency in 1974 to those.

Atrocities were committed by both sides. It was a WAR.
Everyone needs to acknowledge it and move forward towards the future. Hindutva ideology is a threat to Muslims in South Asia, and we need to be alert to it, instead of fighting amongst each other.
