ISLAMABAD: Eight pilots of the Pakistan Air Force have completed flying training on Block 52 F-16C/D model aircraft at the international F-16 training unit at Tucson, Arizona.

They will be honoured at a graduation ceremony at the Pima Air and Space Museum on Tuesday. The eight pilots undertook seven months of training in Tucson that included a fighter conversion course on the F-16C/D, flight lead upgrade training and instructor pilot certification so that they could return home and impart similar training to other pilots. Keynote speakers at the graduation ceremony will include Air Marshal Waseemud Din, deputy chief of air staff (Admin), PAF and Brig Gen Lyn D Sherlock, the director of regional affairs, office of the deputy under secretary of the US Air Force for International Affairs.

I am guessing they saw training at Davis–Monthan Air Force Base. If it is in Tucson. Surprised they weren't at Luke in Glendale. Lots of pilots train there too.

Good job on the training.

The squadron at Luke AFB teaches pilots of USAF, and exchange air forces pilots and sometimes naval aviators. Since PAF doesnt have exchange posts, the only way they got trained its cos of the aquisition of an aircraft(F-16) by a foreign nation, in that case the 162nd ANG, 195th FS, they teach student pilots on F-16s. The 1st batch of PAF guys were trained at Hill AFB in the 80s. Plus 2 PAF guys in the late 90s went for an Instructor Pilot course at Hill AFB as well.
