The Minister of Military Production in Egypt, Muhammad Al-Morsi, discussed with the President of the Pakistan Military Industries Authority (POF), Lieutenant General Ali Amir Awan, on Tuesday, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two parties.

The two sides discussed, according to an official statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production, the proposed cooperation between "Heliopolis Chemical Industries" (81 Military Factory) and the Pakistani group (POF), for the joint manufacture and transfer of manufacturing technology (anti-tank mines - all kinds of industrial explosives - primary packages of mortar bulbs). And many other fields.

Historical relations

Morsi affirmed the steadfast historical relations between the two countries, and the aspiration to develop bilateral cooperation with Pakistan in various fields, as well as keenness to enhance coordination and consultation with those concerned on issues of common interest, chief among them the fight against terrorism and extremist ideology.

The two sides reviewed the technological, manufacturing and technical capabilities of the companies and units of the ministry, which Al-Morsi stressed on their role in meeting the demands and needs of the Egyptian Armed Forces for ammunition, weapons and equipment, in addition to exploiting the surplus production capacities to manufacture various civilian products to be pumped into the market, and to contribute to the implementation of national projects in the state.

He stressed that the work policy of the Ministry of Military Production is openness to cooperation with all international companies operating in various fields, in order to localize modern manufacturing technology within the military production companies.

High potential

For his part, the head of the Pakistan Military Industries Authority said that his country's interest in cooperating with the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production comes within the framework of its industrial, technological, technical, research, human and infrastructure capabilities at the highest level, in addition to the accuracy and speed it enjoys in the performance of the assigned work. "To it, and its participation in the implementation of many development projects in Egypt, which represent elements that can be used in strengthening future aspects of cooperation between the two parties, especially in the field of military industrialization."

Amir Awan affirmed his country's keenness to increase economic cooperation with Egypt during the next stage, pointing to the authority's interest in promoting economic, investment and trade partnership with Egyptian companies, foremost of which are military production companies.

Exchange of visits

The two parties agreed to exchange visits and technical delegations, to determine the technological capabilities available to the military industrialization companies in the two countries, and to identify aspects of cooperation on the ground.

Morsi invited Pakistani companies to participate in the next International Defense Exhibition (EDEX 2021) in Egypt, which will be held at the end of this year.

Factory 81 isn't doing anything that is useful to Pakistan, I hope Egypt and Pakistan can cooperate on radars and optics in the future. Drones will be very useful as well considering that Pakistan is developing a MALE UAV.

Some new Egyptian made optics for vehicles, and weapons at IDEX 2021.

There is going to be a lot more products unveiled in EDEX 2021 this December.

Don't trust Zionist Arabs, if they can betray Palestine, Jerusalem then they are untrustworthy

Bro its business between 2 countries and what they do or don't they have to decide for themselves as they are independent countries. We have to watch our own interests and stick with our own principles as world around us have changed. Not for a minute am saying we should compromise on the Palestinian stance which is right and just and let Allah judge us for our own actions. These days Muslim brotherhood have taken the back seat while US liberal brotherhood is on ascendency, hence we have to treat every one like business partner rather then emotional transaction.

Its good we need to make more and more allies and broaden our sphere of influence in military cooperation

Nigeria has beaten them to the title of first Muslim nation to buy JF17s
And Myanmar is the first Buddhist country. Who will be the first Christian or Hindu country? I think we should sell thunders to Nepal (after flushing RAW agents out of there).

What about Turkey and Azerbaijan then? Turkey exported more than $4.5 billion worth of goods and services to Israel in 2020, we don't even export that much to our largest trading partner USA. So please don't be stupid, national interest is the only thing that matters.

4.5 billion, I think you mean.

But yeah, nations really need to start teaching critical thinking skills to their citizens. The amount of people on this forum who lack the ability to use basic logic is staggering.

On topic: I'm pretty sure nothing is gonna come of this discussion. The Egyptians have nothing Pakistan wants, and the Pakistanis have nothing the Egyptians want. The JF-17 might be the closest thing, but the Egyptians probably don't want them, considering they have the gulf Arabs bankrolling their military with highly advanced western systems.

Oops, thank you for that correction. People like him still think rationally when compared the rest of our countrymen.
