Please read my previous posts. Dates are adjusted for years for natural reasons. Even Puja committees are specifically allotted a particular time to immerse the idol so that the drunkards don't end up beating each other on street.

Ok. So Durga Puja dates usually adjusted... have the Muharram dates been adjusted till date for natural reasons? I am also curious about what these 'natural reasons' are. Just for curiosity's sake.

Actually they do. In Kashmir they have given it up altogether. Or rather they have been forced to.
The other party needs to ask at least.

Only dates of immersions. It is a standard pro to immerse idols on different dates for law and order and environmental concerns. There are instances when idols had to immerse even four/five days after Dashami, which is permissible I believe according to the religious codes. It just had to be completed before Lakshmi Puja. I do not understand why there are so much unnecessary drivels for no reason, Sarthak. Have we lost our reasoning capacities?

Can anyone provide some info:

1) How does Durga immersion activity can actually interfere with Muharram? I guess both require some sort of public procession, is that what it is?

2) Is immersion supposed to occur on Dasami (10th day) and if so how does Ashtami & Navami (which literally mean 8th and 9th day) falling on 22nd make it alright to do the immersion on 22nd?

I already said, it must be immersed before Lakshmi puja as per the religious codes only which is allowable. Why you all are coming up with lame replies and boring me? I am busy in reading something worth reading and stop quoting me please.
