#DRDO conducts successful test of Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (#SFDR) technology from a defence facility off #Odisha coast. Many critical technologies were validated during the test conducted for a shorter range signalling the development of a new air-to-air missile.

The most important air to air missile project that India is undertaking. Will give the IAF an indigenous, affordable AAM BVRAAM that will be a Meteor equivalent.

Given that Meteors are only on the Rafale fleet, this is needed to arm all of the IAF's fighters with a BVRAAM capable of at least 150km range.
