I was thinking Maniratnam (for the movie Bombay..house was bombed, movie was "unislamic")

List is too huge. Mani Ratnam gets threats to this day and is protected by a detail at all times! o_O

I have seen this movie recently and didn't find it offensive. But felt somewhat bad on that Lord Shiva chasing scene. Nothing offensive just that it was supposed to be a comic scene but I could not laugh. Overall, me and my wife both enjoyed the movie.

I am a religious person. I spend hours everyday in a temple next to my home. I believe in many things which may be superstition to others...

I am very pained by these so called right wing hindu organizations who are creating some or other controversy every day and not letting common citizens a piece of mind in their daily life.

Then, there are these Baba's and godmen. These days I do not believe in one single baba. Every one of them have made religion a business. These dhongi baba and pseudo godmen are doing more harm to hinduism than any other religious preachers.

In this context movie PK gives a right message and I appreciate the entire team of this movie. If this movie is financed by ISI or D-gang, I thank them :-)

Pk is a beautiful movie and help to break the taboos in society , Religion (almost all of them )is exploited by some of the people who potray to be religeous personalities but actually are the fake people . These people are present in all religeons . It is no offence to hindus , it only hits to the people who are making the bad name on this religeon. It will help anyway for the society .

I think its a lovely movie but , I too think Amir or Raju Hirani has gone overboard with this one. They definitely crossed the line.

I was thinking that it would be something on the lines of Oh My God, where the message is very similar, there too the primary target were Hindus but the line wasnt crossed as they tried to convey the message without directly hurting the sentiments of the Hindus.

I would also like someone to dare Amir Khan or Hirani to make a similar movie with Prophet Mohammed or Jesus christ, or any minority.. I am 100% he doesnt have the guts becase Hindu society is too soft a target and he's taking advantage of it. I am sure if it was Propeht Muhammed or Any sikh guru or Jesus christ instead of Lord shiva, the crowd would have supported idea of banning the movie. I say this inspite of me being a non Hindu, because our wanna be modern society just tries to showcase their intellects when they know they have the advantage to flow with the crowd support but the same society would have raised an issue if it wa a god from a minority religion... so I am dissapointed more by our intellectuals and society here than Amir Khan and the directors. But at he same time I would never approve of the actions by the bajrag dal or VHP or any group who resorts to damaging the public property in the name of protests.

The movie did over 200 crores in 9-10 days, before the protest (can't really call them protest, vandalism by a few goons, that's what it was) started. So that statement is unfounded. People loved the movie that is why it is doing well.
vandalism started later but demand to ban PK came up on the very first day. It was trending at top. Although i get your point, it was a good movie.
