Our Carrier if any we ever buy would hardly pose a threat to Israel.
a small V/STOL carrier would hardly be a threat for a Ford class or Nimitz class Carrier.
Secondly i think it is about time we stop acting as the thekay daran-e-Islam and focus on our own problems .we are still not able to eradicate pests (ttp;LeJ etc) in our own land and you want pakistan to intimidate Israel with a carrier which doesn't even exist.

These ttp, Lej, BLA, etc etc are all funded by israel and that is not hidden to anyone ...

get into their house and they need to step back ... with AC or without AC ... We can send 1000s of army people in Gaza which will make sure , no fight over there and also keep illegal state of israel at bay .....

Best defense is the offence ... We do need AC in case we need to have a lead role in Muslim Armies (Most of the members wont agree with me ) but we need to send a strong signals to israel so they stop abusing muslims in Gaza and other part of the world ...

Couldn't agree with you more...i think pakistan needs to have at least 30 aircraft carriers. And then we can join them all together and host the next world olympics on them. How about that?

Well Air Craft Carriers are good however at present we should focus on Destroyers and Frigates
with decent Ground to Air capabilities + Submarine detection technologies and strategies

why would Pakistan need an aircraft carrier? We aren't trying to globally project our military - our military's task is the same as any super power or developing country but as far as strategic goals- we - are not the same as USA or Russia or China. What we will be having plenty of is anti carrier missiles - the Chinese have been most helpful in this regard rest assured. But we dont need air craft carriers plain and simple. It's just not necessary.

A carrier costs as much as pakistan's defence budget. Carrier has a different strategic value, its not a tactical weapon.

India doesn't feel so.

The coastline of Pakistan is equal to that of the Indian state of Gujarat therefore your view that Pak does not need a carrier holds good.

India has a peninsular reach into the Indian ocean astride major sea lanes. The A&N Islands dominate the Malacca straits , we have a necessity to project Sea power.

as an offensive force - the indians wouldnt have a chance in hell.....PAF combat aircrafts in the sky and a hellstorm of ack ack fire and defensive measures ground-to-air would have your pilots shitting in their dhotis and thinking a hundred times before deviating into our side
