Does Kashmir really matter to most Pakistanis ?

Let me put it this way, independent Kashmir will not be in India's best interests.

So Merriam-Webster defines to obfuscate as to make (something) difficult to understand.

If so, no there is no obfuscation here.

There is not and has never been a separate standalone entity called Kashmir in independent India.

Surely that cannot be hard to understand?

Since this conversation has been continuing since last few days let me summarise it.
I had said in my 1st post on this thread that Kashmiris (I meant KPs) have been ignored by our government for long.
In early 1990, one night Kashmiri Pandits found themselves abandoned to their fate and stranded in their own homes, encircled by rampaging mobs. Our pusillanimous government did nothing to intervene(ostensibly!), and 25years later KPs are yet to be relocated to Kashmir.
Let me remind you,I am not asking for a special status for KPs.

In your reply to my post, you told me Kashmiris are equal and at par with other citizens of India....which is not true.
Our constitution does give them special rights , article 370 does give autonomy to J&K (now I don't mean they're superior).
Kashmir was given special status for many reasons, from being strategically important to being the land from where many rivers originate, Kashmir has a lot of importance.
So this is the reason I said India for its own "selfish" reasons can not let Kashmir be independent or give it away for gratis to Pakistan.
