Diwali or not, India can't boycott Chinese goods

true story:
they decided not use chinese crackers on diwali. they used made in india fire crakers and now they are facing SMOG.

We would appreciate not to deviate the subject of this topic with your useless posts...At least Chines posters are coming up with nice and logical arguments to present the fact, which is good to know for me too. But if you would like bring up something meaningful to this topic, then it will be a big value add to this discussion.

.
China's exports to India account for only 2 % of its total exports. So even if Indians boycott all the goods imported form China, it will not make as big an impact on China as to bring it to its knees before India.

.
I'm not sure why this call boycott keeps coming on and off, in this era of globalization its difficult if not impossible. As i see, Only way we can make difficult to people to use Chinese cheap products is increase import tax so much, that manufacturing in India should be cheaper.

Brick,
If that was the case, India would have done it already. Anyway, let's not spoil business over a small little hill, 50bil$ in surplus is not a small amount. China will build the road again, and India will camp again, it will be peekabo and at last the road will be completed, had always been that way.

As long as China stays with in it's limits, people of India are pretty friendly to Chinese people and China.

Already few Chinese companies are facing backlash in few parts of India.
if things escalate, China will find out first hand, the meaning of 'Indian mob'. ;)

Totally agree with you there on 'Indian mob'.
They are indeed mobsters.
China already had experience with Indian friendliness in 1962 or rather their deviousness and pettiness.

Their deviousness and pettiness are ingrained in their DNA as evidenced by this episode.

The Chinese man trapped in India for half a century

Contrast this with the friendliness and kindness shown by the Chinese immediately after the 1962 war.

In other cases, sure, but in this case Road to be again constructed , Our media will make government of day super villain, so its not possible easily to construct road, unless some type of give or take is agreed.

There is always way to restrict trade in the name of security , creating artificial barriers, but i'm against its lets trade flourish, more mutual dependency more peaceful we will sleep
