The timeline of Su-30 orders by IAF is as follows:

1996: 18 Russian-built Su-30K and Su-30MK (basic versions for training). Also 32 Russian-built Su-30MKI ordered. Total of 50 aircrafts.

2000: 140 Su-30MKI ordered, these were license-built in India.

2007: Another 40 aircrafts were ordered. License-built in India.

2010: Another 42 aircrafts were ordered. License-built in India.

Thus, a total of 272 aircrafts were ordered.

The aircraft is still in production at HAL, Nashik and 260 aircrafts have been delivered.

Recently, 12 more aircrafts were ordered to replace the ones lost in various accidents.

The Su-30MKI is operated by 13 squadrons located in 9 Air Force Stations present in different parts of the country.

You keep harping on this su 30 MkI order, even when I have explained this dozen aircraft order is due to HALs assembly line capacity and nothing else.

Even if 10 aircraft or 13 aircraft were lost in accidents, IAF would have had to order 12 or 24 aircraft, because that is the minimum order to keep Su 30 assembly line occupied for the year till, next batch order is placed.
