1. #1 world economy
2. #1 in military
3. As countermeasure to China's influence in the region.

You don't get it. The islands is strategic to China's interests and I won't list the reasons again as its already mentioned. You bring up strange ideologies with very limited ways of achieving it.

How do you get developed white countries and yellow lap dog countries to side with China? By begging, be nice and play by the US drafted international rules?

This article suggest Japan giving the Islands back to China. That's about the same as UK giving Hong Kong back to us.
Nobody thought China is strong because UK gave Hong Kong to us, but it was pity, or at the most the right thing to do. It didn't prove Chinese strength.

Yes, countries ally with US for #1 economy and military, but we will soon over take economy and like I said will come close in military by 2030. As to counter to China's influence, those are the easiest to deal, as soon as we show our power, they will fall.

What you are suggesting is giving up the one chance we may have in finally settling the score with the West and Japan with legitimate cause, why?

We must get the islands back, but on our own terms.

Eventually China and US will clash, regardless of any islands or nations. US won't give up their position without a fight and we want to change status quo. This island dispute is the perfect way of clashing, but limiting.

In a war we can take these islands and call it a victory, but if we own them we may need to go into Japan proper, and that's cause for escalation. We must have a way of calling a cease fire without escalation. We still need to do business afterwards.
