Dhaka vs Kolkata

No he didn't - Some Bangladeshi journo,Sharier Khan went to Kolkata and found out that Kolkata is decades ahead of Dhaka-he wrote an article about that in some Bengali newspaper 'The Daily Star' which you folks couldn't digest.

'Kolkata is decades ahead of Dhaka' right now but about a decade or so ago - 'Dhaka was decades ahead of Kolkata'. Mentioned right in that same article saying how green it was. And things will change again....it just so happens that Kolkata has it easy because half of its population left to go to other parts of India.

Dhaka is the capital of a sovereign nation and the world's 11th largest city. Kolkata is the capital of a state in India. As @haviZsultan mentioned - this is an apples to oranges comparison.

Most of us Bangladeshis keep going to Kolkata for business or pleasure so we know its better in many ways. And there are other ways in which Dhaka is better.

In any case this is a pointless thread which should have been closed a long time ago.

About time someone made some sence

Keep hoping....as I said in post #292 !!

Which is comparable to just one decent metro rail length.

So you conveniently forgot the fact that more lines are being built in those cities ?

And you know how much long your Dhaka MRT line 6 would be if its ( ever ) completed by 2020 ? 20.1 km !

Indians come uninvited to the Bangladeshi forum

Which Bangladeshi forum? Last checked, this is a Pakistani defence forum, some admins and moderators prefer to call it an international defence forum, and it has several open sections where any member can contribute without any invitation or prohibition...there is no private section here. And the fact that someone called the mods in the 2nd page of this thread itself, and the thread is running for quite some time while several other troll threads made by the Bangladeshis in the mean time were closed, proves that this thread meets the rules of the forum. Besides, you are one of the most vitriolic member here; always posting unsubstantiated criticism against anything Indian, you should be the last person to accuse others of being arrogant, vitriolic, or hateful. :)

Were any of the last five posts I made above 'arrogant, vitriolic, or hateful'?

Why don't you and your Oriya friend try that for a change, swap vitriol for respect?
Like Gandhijee said - 'Be the change you want to see in the world'.

Seems you and GSLV are obsessed with Bangladesh. Negatively. Do you understand people in Bangladesh or anywhere don't care one bit about what you think of them?

Realize you are an inconsequential insignificant cog in the wheel of life.

Let go - it will feel so much better.

It's funny how all of a sudden, an insult-spewing halfwit wakes up one morning pretending to be all pious, reporting posts his little brain finds offensive, and then trying to portray to everyone here how holier than thou he is. What a typical piece of fecal matter.

This section, along with the country it represents, will continue to be quite the joke!

I said after 2010.Delhi metro was built in 2002 and its length 208 km. But my point is, the 5 metro rail project inaugurated after 2011 have only combined 53 km length. Which is comparable to just one decent metro rail length.

Metro rail
There are currently 8 operational metro systems in India.

Metro rail lines in India are composed of both standard gauge and broad gauge. Projects like the Delhi Metro used broad gauge for their earliest lines but most new projects in India are on standard gauge as rolling stock imported from Europe is on Standard Gauge. One exception is the Ahmedabad Metro, which will use Broad gauge, as there is more space available inside the coach.[10]

Green background for the systems that are under construction. Blue background for the systems that are currently in planning, Yellow background for other proposed systems but no planning yet.

Recent development in the sense that all the metro rail with the exception of Kolkata and Chennai was built after 2000 including your biggest Delhi.

That would be a very myopic way to look at it. Expansion is going on in all old metros, newly inaugurated metros, and yet to be inaugurated metros, plus there are monorails and BRTS systems, it will not give you the correct picture if you just pick up the total operational lines of metros inaugurated after 2011. This link below will give you a better idea about it.

Report all you want. The truth of the matter is that you can't respond to facts in a matter befitting an educated adult, and sadly, this seems to be a trend among the majority of your countrymen. Yessir!

No one is obsessed with Bangladesh, it's the Bangladeshis who drag India in every thread, and this is how it is for years. And I have formed my perception about you by your all posts, not just last five. But it's good to see that you have suddenly decided to change and now acting like a saint. :)

@waz

don't be fooled by biloo's sudden change of stance! He cannot be trusted. Besides, I suggest you read the whole message chain to ascertain which party started the actual trolling. Many thanks.

Come on bro, just accept their claims -' Bangladeshi cities are the best in South Asia ' ,'Bangladesh's textile industry is a precision industry while even Indian aerospace isn't ' ,' Bangladesh is far ahead of India in ship building ,' Bangladesh makes the best bus seats in the world ' , 'Chittagong Circular Rail is the best in South Asia' :omghaha:

If you don't agree& start arguing with them the would say they are obsessed with them...
